Rebellion

 *Shrill sounds of an alarm pierced the quiet and still dark room, drawing a groan from under the covers that a figure was so contently wrapped under. The ragged and lumpy blankets moved and protested heavily, sagging in defeat when an arm reached out and silenced the alarm. Sitting up, the half toned haired male yawned and stretched, pouting at the time.*

*He hated waking up this early for his shitty job in this crummy city barely making enough to live without having to look for an owner. That was one thing he was never going to do. His ears twitched and he shook his head as he got up from the bed and set to getting ready for work. It was some factory job that employed his kind, with hardly any pay though.*

*Grumbling softly, he pulled his clothes on and shoes on at the door before heading out, ruffling his hair and stroking the fur down on his tail before heading out. He found it hard to find work anywhere else, what with his full breed status and having come from a village of free hybrids of wild animals. People feared they could go feral at any minute, but it was untrue. His kind was treated harsher because of this and had stricter laws in place. He tugged at the collar around his neck, red tag to shoe his status and danger if he went feral.*

*When he got to work, he clocked in and pulled on the protective gear for work and started his shift. It was a recycling plant and he worked in the sorting area, sorting out the different types of containers and getting the mess all over him. He had dreams and aspirations, but he never thought he would end up like this, stuck in this life and unable to go back home. His village was assimilated into the city and left abandoned. At least he had friends at work that weren't afraid of him.*

Hey, Hanbin, we still going for drinks?

'Sure, just don't scare off any good looking guys this time.'

*Laughing at his friends words, he shook his head and smiled. The poor bird hybrid got scared after seeing his collar. He should have expected it, Petroica rodinogaster was usually a flighty type of hybrid.*

I promise I won't scare anyone off, but you know bird types are flighty and scare easily.

*Jonghyun said as he accepted the food and chopsticks. He mapped out the plate and food with his utensils as Hanbin hummed in appreciation of the food. Jiwon and Hanbin both asked for tea as well as they began to eat.*

This is really good, love. You don't have to be bartender, babe.

*Jiwon said as he nodded and gestured for Hanbin to go help. The younger fox nodded and got up to go make some green tea for all of them. Jiwon thanked his friend as he watched Jonghyun eat while keeping his hand intwined with Dongwook's. The sight made him smile, the wolf was quickly becoming attached to the elder human.*

Sorry love it's habit when I give people food.

*Bae smiled sheepishly at his mate before leading Hanbin back into the kitchen. He already had some water on to get hot. He turned his head looking at Hanbin with a soft smile.*

It's been a crazy journey hasn't it? There is always a place for you here in our home if you ever need it Hanbin-ah.

*he patted the younger on the back before moving to get down cups. He knew once Jiwon and the pups were setteled Bae was going to crash and take a nap himself.*

It really has, hyung. I appreciate the offer, but I don't want to intrude on you and Bobby. I think while I'm looking for a house mate and getting to know the people here, I'll stay here. I want to find someone to stay with so it will help me get in touch with my species, you know?

*Hanbin said with a smile as he made up their tea in ceramic cups before placing them on the tray. He wouldn't be a stranger to them, they were his family now, but he wanted to get to know his own kind and know what it was like outside of a city and an oppressed community.*

You guys are my family, I'll come see you all the time, especially the super cute kids.

*He said with a chuckle as he carried the tea in to everyone. Placing the cups down, he settled down on the floor between Jiwon and Jonghyun. They were talking and laughing about something having to do with Bae, making both Jonghyun and Jiwon grin ear to ear as Dongwook spoke about the happier times in their childhood.*

*Bae nodded in understanding following his friend back out. He took his seat next to Jiwon rolling his eyes at the story his Hyung was telling about him. He started to eat smiling seeing his Hyung holding his little brother's hand.*

you do know I still have that stuffed dog right? I couldn't get rid of it and someday I'll hand it down to our children.

*he put an arm around Jiwon as Dongwook smiled at Bae. The two elder's shared a look both saying the other had better stay in contact. Bae turned his attention to his brother.*

Not to be rude brother but you are a good looking wolf why don't you have a mate yet?

*Bae asked as he sipped his tea smirking as Dongwook went silent sending a glare at his friend.*

Well, I haven't really been looking. I've had offers of courtship, but I haven't felt it much. The elders told me that I will know when I find my true mate. They even said I would get my vision when my mate marks me in some way.

*He spoke softly as he held onto Dongwook's hand and ate his food slowly. Jonghyun was busy with his apprentice work with the shamen, he didn't take the time to imagine what it would be like having a mate.*

I've been apprenticing under the shamen, but lately he's been telling me that I need to be home for a while. He hasn't taught me anything since I've been guiding you all here, like he knows something and won't tell me. How annoying, I wanna know to.

*He said with a pout as he puffed out his cheeks slightly as Jiwon gave a soft chuckle at the expression. He sipped on his tea before speaking to the wolf.*

Maybe you should take his advice then, you can spend more time with us now. And who knows, you might even actually find your mate.

*Bae chuckled as well before eating more of his food. He leaned over pecking jiwon's cheek as he smiled at his brother.*

Honestly teasing aside I hope you find your mate it really changes your life. But until then we can catch up.

*Dongwook gave the blind wolf's hand a gentle squeeze looking at each of the hybrids.*

The marking thing is true?

Yeah the first time I mated with Jiwon I bit him, and a few times on the way here to keep it fresh. He marks me as well, it's not just a possessive thing though. It's done with love as a sign that if you harm him I will come after you.

*bae explained as he finished his food taking a sip of his tea. As Dongwook nodded taking a drink of his own tea he had caught the threat in bae's words but didn't really understand why he was being threatened. Finished eating Bae shifted the blanket checking on the Cubs.*

Not to get away from the subject of mating but did any of our other siblings survive Jonghyun? Are there anymore here?

It depends on the hybrid, our kind does and some big cats do too, but normal type dogs or regular cat types don't. It's just part of our species, though some have done away with it. I like the idea of wearing my mates mark.

*Jonghyun said with a smile as he finished his food and tea before he moved to sit a little closer to Dongwook. The babies were stirring slightly, some giving soft calls of protest for the warmth being taken away.*

I like it too. My kind doesn't normally, but I wanted to mark Bae in return since I knew how his kind was with it.

*Jiwon explained as Hanbin gathered up the dirty dishes. He sighed and stretched his sore limbs, glad to finally be done all of the traveling.*

Hyung, you're staying with Jonghyun-hyung, yeah?

*He asked Dongwook as he reached over to the pups and stroked them gently to comfort them and make them warm again. Jiwon knew that Bae wanted to set the two of them up together and this was a perfect opportunity for kt.*

*Dongwook nodded taking in the information he hadn't even thought about it being too personal. Dongwook put an arm around Jonghyun when the wolf scooted closer.*

I was planning on crashing with you two and the babies but I'm sure you two want some private time. So if he doesn't mind I would like to.

*Dongwook didn't want to admit to feeling drawn to the wolf not understanding it and not wanting to tell the others. Bae gently pulled Jiwon into his lap gently rubbing his hands down his mate's legs trying to soothe any pain.*

Please tell me you see it to.

*he whispered to his mate talking about the elder and his brother.*

I see it... They must be like us.

*Jiwon spoke softly so only Bae could hear him as Hanbin came back into the room and asked about Bae's siblings. Jonghyun smiled as he thought about their surviving brother.*

We have an older brother still, he has a pack of his own now and every year in the spring they migrate down here to go see Umma's and our other siblings grave. The three of us were the only ones left, so he likes to come visit me a lot after winter.

*Jonghyun said as he relaxed into Dongwook's side with a soft smile. He was comfortable here in this man's arms and surrounded by family.*

You're more than welcome to stay with me, hyung. I'd love to have you there.

*Jiwon smiled more as he relaxed in his lovers arms more. It was obvious those two were meant to be, even Hanbin could see it. He was happy for the two of them, they both seemed like they needed someone. Jiwon was happy that they now had each other.*

They are buried around here?

*Bae asked he had tried to find his mother's grave but he had never found anyone who knew where she was or would tell the human looking man asking. He teared up when it hit him he still had another brother not wanting to cry he buried his face in Jiwon's neck closing his eyes for a moment to calm down again. Dongwook thanked the blind wolf eyeing Bae for a moment he knew how emotional the younger man was.*

Why did you two never try to contact Bae?!

*Dongwook asked curiously as bae's head shot up in shock.*

Hyung! I'm sure they tried but I am a hard man to contact or find. You know I moved around a lot before setteling down.

*bae defended his brothers even though he himself was wondering the very same thing.*

*Jonghyun felt his ears lower, he had been very close to Bae when he was younger so naturally he wanted to find him. He was too young to try and had no sight from anyone else to make his way to the city safely.*

Hyung, I wanted to, badly... but the city would not have been safe for me at all. Our eldest brother tried, but any time he got close, he never knew how to find you. The elders told me to be patient and one day you would see us again, so I waited. Hyung asks about you any time he visits, wondering if you came here yet or not.

*Jiwon knew Jonghyun wouldn't have been good in the city. If a human found him and knew he was blind, he would have immediately been put in for adoption. That would have been even more dangerous him especially for his breed and rare coloration. He had heard a lot of hybrids like him were often mistreated and used in horrible ways that it made his skin crawl.*

It's okay, Jonghyun-ssi. I know what they would have done to anyone like you in the city and it wouldn't have been nice at all. Some had died because of how they were used and abused when they were adopted by horrible people. They wouldn't even get into much trouble, maybe a hefty fine and probation, something they could shake off easily.

*Jiwon said with a frown, he wouldn't want anything like that to happen to Jonghyun. His own coloration and genus almost put him into a bad home like that as well because of how rare it was.*

I am glad you both are alive and well. Jiwonie is right about what would have happened. I mean hell I was aloud to adopt a rare hybrid as a pet with fake papers and no background check, the humans in charge don't care

*Dongwook looked down at his hand still holding Jonghyun's he felt bad his question had caused all of them hurt.*

I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset everyone, we are all together now so it doesn't matter.

*Bae smiled softly at Dongwook reaching over laying his hand ontop of Jonghyun's and Dongwook's for a moment. He wasn't mad at his brother for not finding him nor was he mad at the elder for asking. He himself would have gotten to it eventually. he grinned as a thought hit him and he pulled his hand back.*

Next time he comes Jonghyun don't tell him I'm here just tell him you have an old friend who asked you to stop by with your brother.

*he kissed jiwon's cheek not wanting his mate to be upset.*

Anyone have any name ideas for our other pups and Cubs?

*Jonghyun lifted his ears once more and smiled as he felt Bae's hand on top of his and Dongwook's. He knew the elder was a kind human and wasn't fully aware of how some of the hybrids had been treated. He wasn't fully aware himself, so he wasn't upset at him for his questions.*

It's okay, hyung. I'll be sure to keep it under wraps so you can surprise him. Out of any of us, only you could wrestle our brother down. Bae-hyung was the strongest of us.

*Jiwon grinned, he liked hearing about these childhood stories from Dongwook and Jonghyun. He purred softly as he leaned back against his lover, thinking of names for the babies.*

What about Hwayoung for her? She's so pretty, her black fur reminds me of a black rose...

*Jiwon said as he reached out to stroke the black leopard hybrids ears gently as she squirmed around between her siblings.*

The boys are outnumbered. They will all be so spoiled.

Strong fast giant playful puppy.

*Dongwook teased his friend with a chuckle Bae playfully growled at his human friend but he couldn't deny it. He always had been like a giant puppy.*

I think it fits her love. Should we name one after Chaerin?

*he asked as he looked from baby to baby already so protective of them.*

All of them are going to be spoiled.

Don't talk like you won't be spoiling them as well Hyung.

*Jonghyun laughed as he nodded before he sat up and stretched his limbs. Jiwon reached over to him and let him feel the unnamed babies. He hummed in thought as Jiwon moved the other girl wolf and sat her with her other sisters.*

Hmmm... two boys then, huh? They could have strong names, or something reflecting their nature.

*Jonghyun said as he thought of some names. Jiwon nodded in agreement, he wanted to find fitting names for the boys.*

Aejeong... I think it would fit if he's anything like Jiwon. Harmless and loveable.

*Hanbin offered with a smile as he gestured to the small boy leopard. Jiwon grinned and nodded, the name fit and he was glad his friend was helping with the names.*

I like it. We just need one last boy name and then they're all named.

*Bae looked at their last unnamed baby the little human looking boy. He was silent for a few moments as he reached out touching the baby's little hand.*

Seunghyun?

*he suggested softly his eyes never leaving the little boy. The one he knew he would spoil the most since Bae knew what it was like to be different. He pulled his gaze away shifting his head to see his mate's reaction.*

I like it... Tablo-hyung has an adorable daughter, she's going to be pack alpha one day like Umma.

*Jonghyun said with a grin as he felt the baby leopard hold his finger and nuzzled up to it. Jiwon liked the name too, it seemed to fit the boy that he knew Bae would spoil. Jiwon would have a soft spot for him too.*

It's a good name, babe. Thank you all so much for helping us with the names.

*Jiwon said with a smile as the babies gave soft protests at being bothered and wanted to be warm again. Being the ever protective parent, he gathered them all up into the blanket again and swaddled them all in together.*

Well, what do you guys plan to do today?

I think I'm going to look around, maybe see if I can trade some of the left over pelts and bones for something in the market to bring home, see if I can find any more of my kind here.

*Hanbin mused as he gathered up the dirty dishes and went to go clean them up. He knew the new parents would want some privacy for a little while to rest and care for the new born babies.*

A female alpha is rare, Umma had a lot of trouble when I was little I never thought i'd see another one.

*bae smiled he was happy his species was evolving and more accepting then they used to be. Bae was planning on resting and taking care of his family*

I'll probably explore a little bit, then gather anything anyone who doesn't want to go out needs.

*Dongwook smiled at the new parent's knowing neither would want to go out.*

Well, our wild cousins are primarily in packs ran by an alpha female and the strongest alpha male. It's not completely unheard of, but female alphas are rare like omega males are. That's another reason why Umma had me live here, to keep me safe.

*Jonghyun explained as he sat back against Dongwook comfortably. Jiwon could tell the white wolf was an omega, and it made sense for him to be here. When the eldest of their group said about getting things for them, Jiwon perked up slightly.*

Why don't you take Jonghyun-hyung with you? We might need more clothes and bedding for us along with the babies. And I'm sure hyung would like to wander out further than just his home and the shamen hut.

*Jiwon suggested and Hanbin agreed, the fox knew what he was doing and was well agreed with Bae and the leopard. They looked good together and were already quite comfortable with each other. It was the sign of a true mate pair, much like he had seen with Bae and Jiwon.*

*Bae nodded at his brother's explanation smirking as Dongwook looked confused at the mention of Alpha and Omegas. He buried his head in his mate's neck to block as laugh loving how both the other hybrids had joined in while his brother and Dongwook were clueless still*

If he want's go with me I'd be happy to take him. As long as he doesn't mind the possibility of getting lost as I've never been here before

You've always been good at finding thing though hyung I'm sure you and Jonghyunie will be fine

I know the way through, I've gone before with other people when they go and can take me with them. Besides, exploring and getting to know the place will help.

*Jonghyun said with a smile as he heard his brother suppress a laugh. He figures it was something they were joking about and shrugged it off as his tail flicked behind him calmly.*

We don't need much, hyung. I'm sure Bae and I will be able to go out on our own tomorrow or something. Just the essentials and toiletries. Finally, we have a toilet.

*Jiwon said with a laugh, it was something they took for granted, but now they had one. The village is very old fashioned, but it thrived. It made him happy to live like this again, finally away from the city and somewhere quiet.*

*Bae nodded in agreement they just needed a few basics until one of them felt like going out. He grinned at the toilet comment he was happy as well about it, being used to the city life it was nice to have a private place to take care of his needs.*

Ah you two can help eachother then. It is a good thing you two are getting along, Wookie I left some things in the brown carry bag you might be able to trade for what we need.

*Bae smiled at his brother and Dongwook as Dongwook agreed to get the little things they needed. Wanting to get going before it got to late Dongwook turned to the blind wolf *

Are you ready to head out Jonghyun-ah?

I'm going to go out, too. You guys take it easy, okay?

*Hanbin said with a smile as he reached over to ruffle Jiwon's hair. The elder leopard batted at his hand with a laugh before he leaned back against Bae and held their babies close.*

Let us know how it is out there, we might have to stoke the fire. The bath needs one lit under it to warm it up too.

*He said as Hanbin waved with a nod before bundling up and heading out. On the way out, Hanbin started a fire under the bath and called in to let them know it was lit as Jonghyun nodded and got up from the floor with Dongwook.*

I'm ready, hyung. It won't be too crowded, but it would be best if I held onto your arm or hand so I won't loose you.

*Jonghyun smiled happily as he reached out to take his hand again, swinging their hands slightly between them as he smiled brightly. It felt good to get out again, it had been so long since he got out like this. He liked spending time with Dongwook too, he couldn't explain why. His tail wagged happily, giving away.how excited he really was. Jiwon knew he would have to get used to that with their pups, but it was a good way to tell their emotions. It would be harder with the leopards, but he had a feeling he could read them easily.*

*Bae smiled at the cute goodbye from Hanbin to his mate, he wished the other hybrid well before he left. He gently started to rub jiwon's stomach as he watched the interaction between his brother and best friend.*

Of course Jonghyun.

*Dongwook smiled at the wagging tail as he hooked his arm before reaching out with his other hand taking Jonghyun's. He put the blind wolf's hand on his arm letting him grab it. He turned towards the new parents.*

You two get some rest and love on those babies before we all come back around and start to spoil them.

*Bae chuckled softly at that kissing jiwon's cheek.*

*Jonghyun smiled as he moved to hook his arm around Dongwook's as he turned his head, ears pointed towards the lovers as he gave a large bright smile.*

We will, hyung. You both enjoy your hot bath, the piped shouldn't be frozen over so the tub pump should work just fine.

*Jonghyun wagged his tail as he let the elder lead him to the door to bundle up again. It was a little hard to get his tail to calm down to get it to slip it into the warm cozy he had to keep it from getting too cold in the below zero temperatures. When he got it, he grinned and tied it to his coat carefully before it started wagging again.*

*Jiwon thought it was an adorable sight and he couldn't keep the soft chuckle he gave before he stood from his lovers lap with the bundle in his arms. He took them their room and placed them in their specially made crib and opened the blanket for them to move freely in the crib.*

Let's get a bath, it will help my legs and hips and all of my body.

*He said with a groan as he stretched his back, feeling it give a pip. Jiwon sighed and moved to the bathroom and looked around at the deep soaking tub that was now warm to the touch.*
