 *Shrill sounds of an alarm pierced the quiet and still dark room, drawing a groan from under the covers that a figure was so contently wrapped under. The ragged and lumpy blankets moved and protested heavily, sagging in defeat when an arm reached out and silenced the alarm. Sitting up, the half toned haired male yawned and stretched, pouting at the time.*

*He hated waking up this early for his shitty job in this crummy city barely making enough to live without having to look for an owner. That was one thing he was never going to do. His ears twitched and he shook his head as he got up from the bed and set to getting ready for work. It was some factory job that employed his kind, with hardly any pay though.*

*Grumbling softly, he pulled his clothes on and shoes on at the door before heading out, ruffling his hair and stroking the fur down on his tail before heading out. He found it hard to find work anywhere else, what with his full breed status and having come from a village of free hybrids of wild animals. People feared they could go feral at any minute, but it was untrue. His kind was treated harsher because of this and had stricter laws in place. He tugged at the collar around his neck, red tag to shoe his status and danger if he went feral.*

*When he got to work, he clocked in and pulled on the protective gear for work and started his shift. It was a recycling plant and he worked in the sorting area, sorting out the different types of containers and getting the mess all over him. He had dreams and aspirations, but he never thought he would end up like this, stuck in this life and unable to go back home. His village was assimilated into the city and left abandoned. At least he had friends at work that weren't afraid of him.*

Hey, Hanbin, we still going for drinks?

'Sure, just don't scare off any good looking guys this time.'

*Laughing at his friends words, he shook his head and smiled. The poor bird hybrid got scared after seeing his collar. He should have expected it, Petroica rodinogaster was usually a flighty type of hybrid.*

I promise I won't scare anyone off, but you know bird types are flighty and scare easily.

*Jonghyun changed and piddled around the house, putting things in their place as he found them before he sat down in the living area, waiting for the guests to be ready to meet Bae and Jiwon. He kept thinking back to how it felt to be in Dongwook's arms, feeling safe and protected. It felt normal, like he belonged there
The elders told him once before that he would know when he met his mate, it would be a feeling of finding a piece of yourself, of feeling whole.*

Maybe... I don't know, now isn't the time.

*He muttered to himself as he stood as he heard Hanbin come into the room and started to pull his outdoor gear on.*

I'm sure they'll be on their way. In the mean time, let's think on some names. Do you want one named after your mom?

*Jiwon asked as he looked down to one of their daughters. She has adorable wolf ears, speckled with black spots at the tips before becoming solid white. He tail was in similar coloration, making her unique from other hybrids he had seen before.*

I know it hurt seeing one of our boys come out like you, but it's okay. I won't give him up for the world.

*He reassured Bae as he leaned over to give his lover a soft kiss. Jiwon knew the elder was sensitive about that, and he would be too, but he was going to care and love all of their babies the same.*

I'm gonna warn you now, Umma told me I was a handful when I was little, she would tell me if how I used to try and climb up the drapes to get up high and that I broke a curtain rod that way. I hope we have safe places for the leopard babies to climb.

*Dongwook didn't really understand why he was feeling drawn to the blind wolf. So he didn't really let himself think about it instead pulling back on his coat and boats. He nodded at Hanbin when he saw the boy.*

Morning Hanbin did you sleep well?

*bae looked down at their young gently touching the head of the one Jiwon was talking about. He nodded his head.*

Hyorin was her name. I'm not worried about us giving him up love I am worried about how he'll be treated. It would have been easier on him if he had looked like his siblings but it doesn't change how much I love him

*bae explained returning the kiss as he looked back to his mate. He smiled happily falling even more in love with his little family.*

I'm sure there will be, the wolf babies will want to run around and chew on everything.

It was amazing. Jonghyun-hyung, thanks for letting me stay here the night. Since we're staying in the village, I think I'll see if there are any fox families that will take me in, show me the ways and all of my kind.

I think there are, I'm sure they will take you in and show you everything.

*He smiled before he turned to pull on his own coat and boots, skipping the blindfold since he wouldn't be outside long. Jonghyun moved to turn to Dongwook before he held his hand out.*

You're more than welcome to stay with me.

*Jiwon nodded as he listened to his lovers worries, but this village seemed to be different than the city in the ways a typical hybrid looked. They were all equal here and loved in harmony, much like the village he came from himself.*

I like that name, I think it will suit her. And I'm sure those in the village won't treat him any different
They even accepted Dongwook-hyung, they will have a good life here.

*He said with a smile as he leaned over to press a kiss to his lovers lips. The doors opened to the healer hut, so he looked up and saw Hanbin rushing towards them.*

I wanna see the babies! Is it okay, hyung? Bobby?

*The fox asked as he looked between the two, not wanting to upset the new parents.*

Wait till we get to our new home first, then they can come out of the blanket.

*Dongwook smiled at the hybrids he was happy all three of them had reached safety and were happy. He took the offered hand as Jonghyun spoke to him.*

Thank you I do appreciate the offer I was going to see about crashing with Youngbae but I'm sure he wants to be alone with his mate and children.

*Bae nodded as he returned the soft kiss to his mates lips.*

I know they will love, they will not have any of the life experiences we did.

*he smiled letting out a chuckle as he excited fox came over. He nodded at Dongwook who was lingering by the door still holding the blind wolf's hand.*

As Jiwon said when we reach our home. Maybe you three can help us name them so far we just have one named.

*he smiled as he stood up taking his mate's hand to help him up.*

Do you want me to carry out young love? I know you still have to be tired and sore

*Hanbin nodded in agreement, he would help his friends and pack mates with the baby names. Jiwon was glad to see everyone happy, but he was just as Bae predicted, exhausted and sore. Reluctantly he let his lover take the bundle of new born cubs and pups before he took Hanbin's arm to lean on as they walked.*

I am very tired, all I want to do is sleep, nurse my babies and eat. I'm sore still, too.

*He said with a pout as they followed Jonghyun and Dongwook out of the hut. The elders greeted them all, welcoming them to the village before they let Jonghyun lead the way.*

I walked this path a lot so I could memorize where hyung's house would be while they built it. I normally have a walking stick, but I'm okay if I have someone else with me.

*The white wolf said with a smile. He may not have his sight, but he still could see through others eyes. The elders once told him that if he found and mates with his true mate, his vision would come to him, making him no longer blind. He didn't hold out any hopes for that, but as he walked with Dongwook and held his hand, he felt like maybe that would be okay, if he never found that mate.*

The trade and market area is in the center of town, and we also have trade with other villages that we have people travel to and from to trade for goods. Your home will be three houses down from mine closer to the center of town. I don't normally go there, too many people. Someone brings things for me and takes care of the outside of my house for me.

*Bae took the bundle carefully cudding them to him as they walked. He made sure to stay close to his mate nodding at the elders who welcomed them. Dongwook kept a tight hold on the white wolf's hand feeling protective over their little group.*

I can do that for you from now on Jonghyun. I will help all of you as much as I can.

*Bae smiled looking around memorizing the path as they Approached the home. *

Hyung you need to rest as well you've had as long a trip as we did.

*bae told his Hyung turning his head to check on his mate. He knew they still had some food in his bag for Jiwon to eat before he could get to the market.*

*Jonghyun smiled as he led them to the new home. It was styled just like the rest of the village and sat nestled neatly between the other homes with some distance to give them a nice yard for the children to play in. When they arrived, Jonghyun stepped aside and let them walk up to the home first.*

They did leave you all some perishables, like rice and other dried things. I have some extra meats and a lot of kimchi if you guys want any.

*Jonghyun offered as Jiwon and Hanbin stepped into the house. Jiwon slipped off his shoes, thankful that someone had been around and started their fire for them. It was warm and cozy when he stepped inside as he started purring happily.*

I love this already. It reminds me of the village I came from before the city.

*He said with a grin as he removed his heavy clothes and started to look around the home, seeing a bunch of goods bundled up on the table with a warming welcome note on it.*

I already love it here, everyone is so kind. We won't ever have to go back to the city for anything.

*Jiwon knew he would miss some friends here, but they had such a great community here that they would all fit in without any trouble. Jonghyun slipped his own shoes off and his layers, his tail wagging happily as he stayed close to Dongwook. He stepped inside carefully as he listened to Jiwon milling about the kitchen with Hanbin as he went over to his brother.*

So... do any of them look like mom at all?

*Bae nodded taking in the house as they approached he smiled softly as it reminded him of the home he had lived in before his mother had given him up*

We will never pay any of you back for the kindness you have shown us. It will be nice not to have to hide anymore.

*He stepped inside sitting the bundle down on a padded seat for a moment so he could take of his layers and boots. Dongwook let go of Jonghyun's hand once they entered the home but stayed close just incase. Bae turned to his brother as he picked up the bundle again.*

One of the girls does, different color she has jiwon's coloring but the markings are just like I remember. We named her hyorin.

*Bae looked down at the little cubs and pups motioning dongwook over to help him. With his hyung's help he un-bundled the pups and cubs wishing his brother could see them*

there is also one that looks like me no visible hybrid traits at all so far

It might be genetics. I wish I could see them. I'll be sure they have nice dreams when they get older.

*He knew if he had pups, one was bound to be born like that as well, but he didn't hold out much hope for that, still thinking he wouldn't find his true mate. Pushing that thought aside, Jonghyun smiled softly as he moved carefully into the house with his hands stretched out to make sure he wouldn't rub into anything. Jiwon came back to the main area where Bae was and grinned as he went over to his mate and pups while Hanbin went to help Jonghyun come closer.*

Babe, they gave us a sitting soaking tub. I can't wait to try it out.

*He was a bit sore still, but he was sure a nice soak in some hot water would help that. He smiled and moved to hug Jonghyun as the blind wolf grinned happily at them.*

If it weren't for you, I don't know if we would have made it in time. Thank you so much.

*Bae smiled at his younger sibling he knew in his heart his brother would find love like he had. He had picked up the little human looking pup and was gently stroking his cheek. Dongwook was distracted by the Cubs already attatched to them.*

After we get some food into you I'll draw you a nice warm bath my love.

They are beautiful.

*Dongwook said more to himself as he gently touched the one they had named Hyorin. Bae smiled at the elder patting his back as he watched his mate hung his brother.*

*Jonghyun smiled more and hugged Jiwon in return, heating the black leopard hybrid purring contently. He couldn't wait to see the babies in their dreams, they had to be the most adorable things ever.*

I wish I could have pups...

*He said softly as he reached out, feeling Jiwon's hand guide his to one of the babies. It was the little girl they named after their mother, she was so small and so soft. Hanbin was cooing over them, so in awe at the lives his best friend and new friend brought into the world.*

You will one day, hyung. I'm sure you'll find your mate and have a big litter of pups with them.

*Jiwon said as he looked briefly to Dongwook before he looked to his mate. He saw the way the elder looked at the white wolf and he could tell Bae had seen it too. They looked so good together, he knew they would mate one day.*

Let's all get some breakfast, I'm starved and I know the babies will want to nurse, too.

*Bae nodded in agreement with his mate he knew in his heart his brother would end up with a family like he had.*

I never thought i would have any either Jonghyun, but when I met jiwon everything clicked and here we are now

*he smiled at his mate as the younger one looked at him. He nodded towards the elder and his brother showing he understood. He placed the pup he was holding back down nodding as he stood up.*

Why don't you rest with your friends and the babies love. I will go make us some food.

*he stepped closer kissing Jiwon softly before turning and heading for the kitchen area he had seen his mate leave earlier *

*Jiwon sat down on the floor with the bundel, keeping them close and warm as the others watched them and coddled them. He was lucky to have a family like this now, he had missed this more than anything.*

This is the best thing to have ever happened to me. I know I should have strived for a better education and helped out out kind, but why should I fight for something I already had before I was forced into something like that?

*Hanbin nodded in agreement, they shouldn't have to fight for their rights, they had that in the wild, it was only the humans that took that away from them. Jonghyun frowned as he sat down as well.*

Most humans are horrible to our kind, I'm glad that there are some willing to show them that they are wrong and they are willing to help us find a safe haven.

*Jonghyun was happy that Dongwook was one of those humans, any other kind of human wasn't tolerated in their village, hatred and oppression wasn't welcome among them.*

Humans always look down on what they don't understand. Honestly I was the same as most of them until i found out what Youngbae was. I guess it's pretty sad it took a human looking hybrid to show me we are the same. But then again i was still pretty young when he told me.

*Dongwook said with a shrug, he had already viewed Bae as his brother before he found out the younger wasn't human. Without realzing it he had reached over and was holding Jonghyun's hand again. In the kitchen Bae had looked around trying to decide what to fix them all that was quick. Finding some meat he desided to fry it up with some vegetables for them knowing all of them needed the meat. It didn't take long for the smell of cooking meat to fill the house.*

*Jonghyun smiled as he held onto Dongwook's hand gently. He was happy that Bae was able to help the elder see that they weren't so different after all.*

I'm glad that he helped you understand. We want people to understand that more, too. One day maybe it will change, but for now, we are safe here. They provide education here and in a neighboring town that is led by humans from the city that want to provide the kids with education and teach them just like they would human children.

*Jiwon was happy to hear that, he had worried about their babies futures. His old village had been similar until they were moved to the city. He smelled the food being cooked and hummed happily, his tail flicking at the smell of cooking meat.*

Our first meal in the new home and not outside. I got so used to living out there and traveling that it just seemed so normal. It feels good to have a home now, though.

not having to worry about the weather or if you and Hanbin were warm enough.

*Dongwook nodded he was also happy to be here and have a place to stay for a bit. He rubbed his thumb against Jonghyun's hand absentmindedly as Bae finished up the food. He played up some for each of them carrying the bowls into where his family was sitting.*

What do you all want to drink?

*he asked slipping into his bartender headspace as he carefully sat down each plate infront of them.*

Just tea will do, hyung.

*Jonghyun said as he accepted the food and chopsticks. He mapped out the plate and food with his utensils as Hanbin hummed in appreciation of the food. Jiwon and Hanbin both asked for tea as well as they began to eat.*

This is really good, love. You don't have to be bartender, babe.

*Jiwon said as he nodded and gestured for Hanbin to go help. The younger fox nodded and got up to go make some green tea for all of them. Jiwon thanked his friend as he watched Jonghyun eat while keeping his hand intwined with Dongwook's. The sight made him smile, the wolf was quickly becoming attached to the elder human.*

Sorry love it's habit when I give people food.

*Bae smiled sheepishly at his mate before leading Hanbin back into the kitchen. He already had some water on to get hot. He turned his head looking at Hanbin with a soft smile.*

It's been a crazy journey hasn't it? There is always a place for you here in our home if you ever need it Hanbin-ah.

*he patted the younger on the back before moving to get down cups. He knew once Jiwon and the pups were setteled Bae was going to crash and take a nap himself.*

It really has, hyung. I appreciate the offer, but I don't want to intrude on you and Bobby. I think while I'm looking for a house mate and getting to know the people here, I'll stay here. I want to find someone to stay with so it will help me get in touch with my species, you know?

*Hanbin said with a smile as he made up their tea in ceramic cups before placing them on the tray. He wouldn't be a stranger to them, they were his family now, but he wanted to get to know his own kind and know what it was like outside of a city and an oppressed community.*

You guys are my family, I'll come see you all the time, especially the super cute kids.

*He said with a chuckle as he carried the tea in to everyone. Placing the cups down, he settled down on the floor between Jiwon and Jonghyun. They were talking and laughing about something having to do with Bae, making both Jonghyun and Jiwon grin ear to ear as Dongwook spoke about the happier times in their childhood.*

*Bae nodded in understanding following his friend back out. He took his seat next to Jiwon rolling his eyes at the story his Hyung was telling about him. He started to eat smiling seeing his Hyung holding his little brother's hand.*

you do know I still have that stuffed dog right? I couldn't get rid of it and someday I'll hand it down to our children.

*he put an arm around Jiwon as Dongwook smiled at Bae. The two elder's shared a look both saying the other had better stay in contact. Bae turned his attention to his brother.*

Not to be rude brother but you are a good looking wolf why don't you have a mate yet?

*Bae asked as he sipped his tea smirking as Dongwook went silent sending a glare at his friend.*

Well, I haven't really been looking. I've had offers of courtship, but I haven't felt it much. The elders told me that I will know when I find my true mate. They even said I would get my vision when my mate marks me in some way.

*He spoke softly as he held onto Dongwook's hand and ate his food slowly. Jonghyun was busy with his apprentice work with the shamen, he didn't take the time to imagine what it would be like having a mate.*

I've been apprenticing under the shamen, but lately he's been telling me that I need to be home for a while. He hasn't taught me anything since I've been guiding you all here, like he knows something and won't tell me. How annoying, I wanna know to.

*He said with a pout as he puffed out his cheeks slightly as Jiwon gave a soft chuckle at the expression. He sipped on his tea before speaking to the wolf.*

Maybe you should take his advice then, you can spend more time with us now. And who knows, you might even actually find your mate.

*Bae chuckled as well before eating more of his food. He leaned over pecking jiwon's cheek as he smiled at his brother.*

Honestly teasing aside I hope you find your mate it really changes your life. But until then we can catch up.

*Dongwook gave the blind wolf's hand a gentle squeeze looking at each of the hybrids.*

The marking thing is true?

Yeah the first time I mated with Jiwon I bit him, and a few times on the way here to keep it fresh. He marks me as well, it's not just a possessive thing though. It's done with love as a sign that if you harm him I will come after you.

*bae explained as he finished his food taking a sip of his tea. As Dongwook nodded taking a drink of his own tea he had caught the threat in bae's words but didn't really understand why he was being threatened. Finished eating Bae shifted the blanket checking on the Cubs.*

Not to get away from the subject of mating but did any of our other siblings survive Jonghyun? Are there anymore here?

It depends on the hybrid, our kind does and some big cats do too, but normal type dogs or regular cat types don't. It's just part of our species, though some have done away with it. I like the idea of wearing my mates mark.

*Jonghyun said with a smile as he finished his food and tea before he moved to sit a little closer to Dongwook. The babies were stirring slightly, some giving soft calls of protest for the warmth being taken away.*

I like it too. My kind doesn't normally, but I wanted to mark Bae in return since I knew how his kind was with it.

*Jiwon explained as Hanbin gathered up the dirty dishes. He sighed and stretched his sore limbs, glad to finally be done all of the traveling.*

Hyung, you're staying with Jonghyun-hyung, yeah?

*He asked Dongwook as he reached over to the pups and stroked them gently to comfort them and make them warm again. Jiwon knew that Bae wanted to set the two of them up together and this was a perfect opportunity for kt.*

*Dongwook nodded taking in the information he hadn't even thought about it being too personal. Dongwook put an arm around Jonghyun when the wolf scooted closer.*

I was planning on crashing with you two and the babies but I'm sure you two want some private time. So if he doesn't mind I would like to.

*Dongwook didn't want to admit to feeling drawn to the wolf not understanding it and not wanting to tell the others. Bae gently pulled Jiwon into his lap gently rubbing his hands down his mate's legs trying to soothe any pain.*

Please tell me you see it to.

*he whispered to his mate talking about the elder and his brother.*

I see it... They must be like us.

*Jiwon spoke softly so only Bae could hear him as Hanbin came back into the room and asked about Bae's siblings. Jonghyun smiled as he thought about their surviving brother.*

We have an older brother still, he has a pack of his own now and every year in the spring they migrate down here to go see Umma's and our other siblings grave. The three of us were the only ones left, so he likes to come visit me a lot after winter.

*Jonghyun said as he relaxed into Dongwook's side with a soft smile. He was comfortable here in this man's arms and surrounded by family.*

You're more than welcome to stay with me, hyung. I'd love to have you there.

*Jiwon smiled more as he relaxed in his lovers arms more. It was obvious those two were meant to be, even Hanbin could see it. He was happy for the two of them, they both seemed like they needed someone. Jiwon was happy that they now had each other.*
