 *Shrill sounds of an alarm pierced the quiet and still dark room, drawing a groan from under the covers that a figure was so contently wrapped under. The ragged and lumpy blankets moved and protested heavily, sagging in defeat when an arm reached out and silenced the alarm. Sitting up, the half toned haired male yawned and stretched, pouting at the time.*

*He hated waking up this early for his shitty job in this crummy city barely making enough to live without having to look for an owner. That was one thing he was never going to do. His ears twitched and he shook his head as he got up from the bed and set to getting ready for work. It was some factory job that employed his kind, with hardly any pay though.*

*Grumbling softly, he pulled his clothes on and shoes on at the door before heading out, ruffling his hair and stroking the fur down on his tail before heading out. He found it hard to find work anywhere else, what with his full breed status and having come from a village of free hybrids of wild animals. People feared they could go feral at any minute, but it was untrue. His kind was treated harsher because of this and had stricter laws in place. He tugged at the collar around his neck, red tag to shoe his status and danger if he went feral.*

*When he got to work, he clocked in and pulled on the protective gear for work and started his shift. It was a recycling plant and he worked in the sorting area, sorting out the different types of containers and getting the mess all over him. He had dreams and aspirations, but he never thought he would end up like this, stuck in this life and unable to go back home. His village was assimilated into the city and left abandoned. At least he had friends at work that weren't afraid of him.*

Hey, Hanbin, we still going for drinks?

'Sure, just don't scare off any good looking guys this time.'

*Laughing at his friends words, he shook his head and smiled. The poor bird hybrid got scared after seeing his collar. He should have expected it, Petroica rodinogaster was usually a flighty type of hybrid.*

I promise I won't scare anyone off, but you know bird types are flighty and scare easily.

*Dongwook just sighed he wasn't worried about himself but Jiwon and Youngbae. He knew Bae would take his little family and leave if he couldn't stay with them. He also knew both Jiwon and Bae needed to be among their own kind after spending so many years alone and mistreated by humans.

Bae was tearing up as he watched his children being born a sad smile forming on his face when one came out like him. He wouldn't love the child less but he wished all their children where visible hybrids it was safer that way. He opened his mouth to reply to the small comment nodding as the doctor explained. He had been around newborn hybrids before and knew they were small. He leaned down kissing Jiwon softly again as the healers started to bring out the clean ones ready to help Jiwon start to nurse.*

Babe I'll be back in a bit I need to talk to the elders about Dongwook. I love you so much.

*he smiled at his mate before leaving his side and going over to talk to his two brothers. Not saying anything he leaned down hugging Jonghyun tightly. He hadn't gotten to hug his brother yet.*

While the healers are helping him feed them do you think the elders will see us?

*Jiwon nodded to his lover as he tiredly nursed two of their new babies. Hanbin sat beside him quietly, watching his elder friend in awe as he reached up to stroke the soft clean ears of a nursing pup.*

*Jonghyun wrapped his arms around his brother with a smile, hugging him tight. He was happy for them, but he was also curious about the man beside him. He stood from his seat and took Bae's hand gently.*

They would be glad to. I know they're waiting, even if it's late.

*He said as he led his brother and Dongwook to the hut where the three village elders sat and spoke among each other. Jonghyun stepped inside and left the two outside as he spoke briefly to the elders about their arrival and the birth of the children. When they wanted to speak to them, Jonghyun returned to the two elders and called them in.*

They will talk to you now.

*He said with a soft smile as he took someone's hand to lead them in. It was soft and strong, but he could already tell that it wasn't his brothers hand. This hand was bigger and not quite as warm, but still warm.*

*Bae and Dongwook walked with the blind wolf to the hut. Both men where exhausted but not ready to rest yet. Bae smirked patting the elder on the back when he saw how he was looking at his brother. He would tease him about it later he slowed down a bit as Jonghyun came back out and grabbed dongwook's hand.

He stepped up to his friend's otherside seeing his best friend tense. Bae looked at the three elders with tired eyes.*

Hyung is not like most humans he is kind. Without him my Mate and I would have never made it here.

*he informed the elders he would fight for Dongwook the way the elder had protected and fought for him.*

*Jonghyun gave Dongwook's hand a gentle squeeze as he nodded, the elder had been nothing but kind and helpful to his brother when he was growing up, from what he had seen in his memories.*

I have seen their past myself, Dongwook has been good to our kind, he has even helped some escape here before. He is the one of those that we keep contact with when bringing others here for sanctuary.

*The elders listened to their words, and it was their first time actually meeting directly with the man from the resistance. They talked amongst themselves for a moment, leaving Jonghyun anxious as they made a decision. They were much wiser than he was, they had the ability to see bits of the future, so when he heard a soft laugh from one of them, it made him relax.*

You may stay, and we give you our blessings, you will have a happy future here.

*One of the older men said before they dismissed them with Congradulations to Bae about his new family. When they left the three alone, Jonghyun grinned brightly.*

I'm so glad they let you stay! You all can stay with me tonight, we will get you all settled in your new homes tomorrow. Hyung can stay with Jiwon for the night, I know he wants to badly.

*Bae let out a breath he didn't know he was holding when they said Dongwook could stay. He hugged his human brother before hugging his blood brother tight.*

Once everything settles we are going to catch up Jongie.

*he pecked his brothers cheek before running off to rejoin his mate. He was planning on sending Hanbin to Dongwook and Jonghyun wanting to spend the night with his mate and their newborns alone.*

Your brother helped bring people here as well, you can't give all the credit to me.

*dongwook said as he let his eyes take in the blind hybrid infront of him. There was some kind of fondness already growing for the boy but Dongwook thought he was just because he was so fond of Youngbae. Bae smiled returning to the hut where he left Jiwon going over to his mate.*

How are you feeling baby boy?

*Jonghyun flushed softly and smiled as he moved to hold onto Dongwook's arm after hugging his brother. With Bae returning to his mate, Jonghyun led Dongwook and Hanbin to his small home. It was made just for him, easy for him to navigate and know where things were.*

It's not much, but it's home. I have one guest room, so you two can figure out who sleeps there. I have a big bed of someone wants to share with me, too.

*Jonghyun mentioned as they stepped inside. He slipped off his boots and his heavy coat before removing the blindfold that protected his eyes. His blue grey eyes shined as he smiled to the two as he hung up the black lace before he shows them the way to the room.*

*Jiwon looked up to his mate with a sleepy smile as he nursed the last baby, holding the other two close. He had been moved to a big bed and given warm clothes while he had waited for Bae to return.*

Hey daddy... how did it go? Is hyung allowed to stay?

*Dongwook let the wolf lead him to the home feeling a little tingly where the fingers were touching his arm. Distracted he didn't take his eyes off the hybrid even as he slipped off his own boots and coat. He bit his lip as he looked into the wolf's eyes for a few moments he smiled back even though the wolf couldn't see it before following him back*

Hanbin-ah can have it, I can just sleep on the floor somewhere out of your way. Thank you for allowing us to stay with you for now.

*Bae smiled as he sat down carefully on the bed looking at the children. He was in love already but afraid to actually touch them. He looked up at Jiwon when he was called Daddy a shiver going down his spine*

It went really good, Hyung is allowed to stay here. I think he'll find a mate here as well.

*Bae grinned he had seen the way their friend had checked out his brother and he had to admit he wanted them together if Jonghyun was interested*

*Jonghyun frowned and pulled Dongwook to his room with him as he shook his head. He wasn't about to let the elder sleep on the floor, not in the traditional houses they lived in.*

The floor is too cold. You can share the bed with me. The fire for the furnace is about to go out for the night and it won't be lit again until morning, so stay warm with me.

*He said with a smile as his tail wagged slightly. Hanbin went into the guest room and all but collapsed, snuggling up under the covers without a care as he let himself drift off.*

*Jiwon smiled and reached up with a free hand to tug Bae down to lay in the bed with him. He leaned over and gave his mate a soft kiss before placing a pup on his chest. The pup squirmed around slightly and gave soft pup whines and squeaks as she cuddled up to the warm body.*

I am so relieved that they let him stay here too. If he finds a mate, I hope they love him for who he is and doesn't shun him for being human. They don't seem like the type to shun, though.

*Jiwon said with a yawn as he turned to his side, holding the cub nursing close so it could eat undisturbed. He snuggled up to Bae and closed his eyes tiredly.*

Finally... we are home...

*Dongwook bit his lip letting himself be pulled into the bedroom. He wasn't going to fight it though*

I don't want to impose on you, you have been very kind already to me.

*He returned the kiss bringing an arm up to cuddle the pup to his chest. He placed a kiss on her head as she settled down again on her father.*

I think they will love, Dongwookie is easy to love. I don't know what I would have done if they refused.

*he wrapped his arms carefully around his mate placing another kiss on his cheek*

We are home, our safe home where our babies can grow with no worries. rest love, you have done so well.

*Jonghyun smiled and gave a soft laugh as he stepped into the dark room. He felt around the room and made sure he had heavy covers on before he turned to smile to Dongwook more.*

This is the room. There is a lamp by the door, you can turn that on if you want.

*He said as he moved to pull out his night clothes, not sure if the elder needed any or not. His kind kept warm easily in this weather, so his body heat was a bit higher this time of year. Jonghyun gave a yawn and climbed into the bed, snuggling up on one side as he made sure Dongwook had room and blankets to keep warm and pillows to sleep on.*

*Jiwon smiled and snuggled close, keeping the babies between them to keep them warm as well. He gave a yawn and let himself drift off to sleep. The night went on peacefully and the sun rose in the sky slowly. Jiwon woke through the night and nursed the pups when they started crying for food.*

Bae... can you hold the pups that ate?

*He asked as he nudged his mate with a tired groan. He was still rather tired, the pups kept him awake around the clock and he was starting to get hungry himself.*

*Dongwook nodded turning his back so the wolf could change, he turned the lamp on low waiting for the hybrid to get into bed before walking over. He was still wearing the thick layers he traveled in so he would be fine for the night. He climbed into the bed laying down beside the wolf *

Good night Jonghyun

*he said quietly settling down fighting the urge to cuddle. Bae was sleeping with his little family waking a few times during the pups feedings. This last time he didn't open his eyes using his instincts to gather the fed children pulling them to him.*

Hmm when they are resting again I will get you food love.

*At some point during the course of the night, Jonghyun has cuddled close to Dongwook. He felt warm and happy here, it had been so long since he had shared a bed with someone. He had been feeling very lonely lately, so when he heard of people coming to the village, he had to see if it was his brother. When he found out, he was overjoyed by the fact.*

*Hanbin had woken up early, but favored staying under the mass of blankets over leaving his warm bed, so when a person came around the house, he listened as they put the wood in the out door clay furnace and started it up.*

*When the house started to warm up, Jonghyun slowly started to wake with soft groans and a pout of displeasure and protest.*

*Jiwon smiled lazily and let the pups finish feeding before he leaned over and gave his lover a kiss.*

Thanks, babe.

*The head healer came in to check on them, happy with how well they were fed and cared for through the night. He instructed the nurse to help them swaddle up the babies so they could go to their new home once it warmed up.*

I can't wait to see our new home. I didn't have much time to really look around when we first got here, but it feels really nice here.

*When the hybrid moved closer Dongwook wound up wrapping his arms around the hybrid. He held the wolf close in his sleep, he let out a groan as the hybrid started to wake. Not ready yet he snuggled his face closer to the wolf.*

Welcome love

*Bae said opening his eyes as the babies settled down on him. He sat up helping the nurse swoddle their babies. He held them carefully as the nurse moved to help Jiwon.*

I didn't get to see a lot of it either so we can explore together.

*Jonghyun sighed and snuggled closer to Dongwook. He felt warm and safe in the man's arms, a feeling he missed when their mother passed. With a soft groan and a sigh through his nose, Jonghyun rubbed his eyes and yawned as he started to wake.*

Hyung... wake up. Gotta take Bae-hyung to his home.

*He said with a yawn, but he stayed in the elders arms and made no effort to get up yet. It was so warm and nice now that the fire had been started and was heating up the house.*

*Jiwon bundled up the babies and himself, yawning as he rubbed his eyes and looked to his mate. He smiled more before he gathered up the babies in a blanket to keep them warm.*

Is your brother supposed to come show us our home?

*He asked as he bounced the bundle gently as he moved to his lovers side. Jiwon felt so happy and loved here, letting go of his past and looking towards a happy future now with his mate and babies.*

*Dongwook groaned starting to wake up. Realizing he was holding the boy he blinked pulling away as he sat up.*

*he said quietly as he rubbed at his eyes he was still tired but he got up from the bed anyway. He couldn't wait to see the babies.*

I thought he was my love maybe he's not awake yet.

*Bae wrapped an arm around his mate wondering if they could find it without him.*

We need to name the babies love.

*Jonghyun frowned as the elder pulled away so suddenly, so he sat up and yawned again, rubbing his eyes and face before he got up.*

It's okay. I think I cuddled up to you, sorry. Been a while since I shared my bed, didn't know I was going to do that.

*He sighed as he stretched before standing and moving to grab some clothes to wear. Jonghyun let Dongwook wander around and use the bathroom to get ready as he wished, hearing Hanbin moving around as well.*

Hmmm... I didn't really think of names... It's weird, I wasn't worried about names and never thought of any on the way here.

*Jiwon said with a laugh as he looked up to his mate and smiled. They would think of something when they could sit down and work out some names.*

Let's get home and we can figure out some names there. We can wait for your brother to get here, I don't want to wander around in the cold with the babies.

It's been awhile sincen I've shared a bed as well. I had forgotten I am a cuddled.

*Dongwook explained running a hand through his hair before heading to the bathroom getting ready to get Bae and his family. Bae smiled sheepishly at his mate as he sat down in a chair carefully pulling Jiwon down into one beside him to wait.*

I didn't either I was so focused on getting you here it just hit me we had no names for them.

*He nodded not in the mood to get his mate and Cubs lost or leave them to find it himself.*

I wonder what's taking them so long hopefully everything is okay.

*Jonghyun changed and piddled around the house, putting things in their place as he found them before he sat down in the living area, waiting for the guests to be ready to meet Bae and Jiwon. He kept thinking back to how it felt to be in Dongwook's arms, feeling safe and protected. It felt normal, like he belonged there
The elders told him once before that he would know when he met his mate, it would be a feeling of finding a piece of yourself, of feeling whole.*

Maybe... I don't know, now isn't the time.

*He muttered to himself as he stood as he heard Hanbin come into the room and started to pull his outdoor gear on.*

I'm sure they'll be on their way. In the mean time, let's think on some names. Do you want one named after your mom?

*Jiwon asked as he looked down to one of their daughters. She has adorable wolf ears, speckled with black spots at the tips before becoming solid white. He tail was in similar coloration, making her unique from other hybrids he had seen before.*

I know it hurt seeing one of our boys come out like you, but it's okay. I won't give him up for the world.

*He reassured Bae as he leaned over to give his lover a soft kiss. Jiwon knew the elder was sensitive about that, and he would be too, but he was going to care and love all of their babies the same.*

I'm gonna warn you now, Umma told me I was a handful when I was little, she would tell me if how I used to try and climb up the drapes to get up high and that I broke a curtain rod that way. I hope we have safe places for the leopard babies to climb.

*Dongwook didn't really understand why he was feeling drawn to the blind wolf. So he didn't really let himself think about it instead pulling back on his coat and boats. He nodded at Hanbin when he saw the boy.*

Morning Hanbin did you sleep well?

*bae looked down at their young gently touching the head of the one Jiwon was talking about. He nodded his head.*

Hyorin was her name. I'm not worried about us giving him up love I am worried about how he'll be treated. It would have been easier on him if he had looked like his siblings but it doesn't change how much I love him

*bae explained returning the kiss as he looked back to his mate. He smiled happily falling even more in love with his little family.*

I'm sure there will be, the wolf babies will want to run around and chew on everything.

It was amazing. Jonghyun-hyung, thanks for letting me stay here the night. Since we're staying in the village, I think I'll see if there are any fox families that will take me in, show me the ways and all of my kind.

I think there are, I'm sure they will take you in and show you everything.

*He smiled before he turned to pull on his own coat and boots, skipping the blindfold since he wouldn't be outside long. Jonghyun moved to turn to Dongwook before he held his hand out.*

You're more than welcome to stay with me.

*Jiwon nodded as he listened to his lovers worries, but this village seemed to be different than the city in the ways a typical hybrid looked. They were all equal here and loved in harmony, much like the village he came from himself.*

I like that name, I think it will suit her. And I'm sure those in the village won't treat him any different
They even accepted Dongwook-hyung, they will have a good life here.

*He said with a smile as he leaned over to press a kiss to his lovers lips. The doors opened to the healer hut, so he looked up and saw Hanbin rushing towards them.*

I wanna see the babies! Is it okay, hyung? Bobby?

*The fox asked as he looked between the two, not wanting to upset the new parents.*

Wait till we get to our new home first, then they can come out of the blanket.

*Dongwook smiled at the hybrids he was happy all three of them had reached safety and were happy. He took the offered hand as Jonghyun spoke to him.*

Thank you I do appreciate the offer I was going to see about crashing with Youngbae but I'm sure he wants to be alone with his mate and children.

*Bae nodded as he returned the soft kiss to his mates lips.*

I know they will love, they will not have any of the life experiences we did.

*he smiled letting out a chuckle as he excited fox came over. He nodded at Dongwook who was lingering by the door still holding the blind wolf's hand.*

As Jiwon said when we reach our home. Maybe you three can help us name them so far we just have one named.

*he smiled as he stood up taking his mate's hand to help him up.*

Do you want me to carry out young love? I know you still have to be tired and sore

*Hanbin nodded in agreement, he would help his friends and pack mates with the baby names. Jiwon was glad to see everyone happy, but he was just as Bae predicted, exhausted and sore. Reluctantly he let his lover take the bundle of new born cubs and pups before he took Hanbin's arm to lean on as they walked.*

I am very tired, all I want to do is sleep, nurse my babies and eat. I'm sore still, too.

*He said with a pout as they followed Jonghyun and Dongwook out of the hut. The elders greeted them all, welcoming them to the village before they let Jonghyun lead the way.*

I walked this path a lot so I could memorize where hyung's house would be while they built it. I normally have a walking stick, but I'm okay if I have someone else with me.

*The white wolf said with a smile. He may not have his sight, but he still could see through others eyes. The elders once told him that if he found and mates with his true mate, his vision would come to him, making him no longer blind. He didn't hold out any hopes for that, but as he walked with Dongwook and held his hand, he felt like maybe that would be okay, if he never found that mate.*

The trade and market area is in the center of town, and we also have trade with other villages that we have people travel to and from to trade for goods. Your home will be three houses down from mine closer to the center of town. I don't normally go there, too many people. Someone brings things for me and takes care of the outside of my house for me.

*Bae took the bundle carefully cudding them to him as they walked. He made sure to stay close to his mate nodding at the elders who welcomed them. Dongwook kept a tight hold on the white wolf's hand feeling protective over their little group.*

I can do that for you from now on Jonghyun. I will help all of you as much as I can.

*Bae smiled looking around memorizing the path as they Approached the home. *

Hyung you need to rest as well you've had as long a trip as we did.

*bae told his Hyung turning his head to check on his mate. He knew they still had some food in his bag for Jiwon to eat before he could get to the market.*

*Jonghyun smiled as he led them to the new home. It was styled just like the rest of the village and sat nestled neatly between the other homes with some distance to give them a nice yard for the children to play in. When they arrived, Jonghyun stepped aside and let them walk up to the home first.*

They did leave you all some perishables, like rice and other dried things. I have some extra meats and a lot of kimchi if you guys want any.

*Jonghyun offered as Jiwon and Hanbin stepped into the house. Jiwon slipped off his shoes, thankful that someone had been around and started their fire for them. It was warm and cozy when he stepped inside as he started purring happily.*

I love this already. It reminds me of the village I came from before the city.

*He said with a grin as he removed his heavy clothes and started to look around the home, seeing a bunch of goods bundled up on the table with a warming welcome note on it.*

I already love it here, everyone is so kind. We won't ever have to go back to the city for anything.

*Jiwon knew he would miss some friends here, but they had such a great community here that they would all fit in without any trouble. Jonghyun slipped his own shoes off and his layers, his tail wagging happily as he stayed close to Dongwook. He stepped inside carefully as he listened to Jiwon milling about the kitchen with Hanbin as he went over to his brother.*

So... do any of them look like mom at all?

*Bae nodded taking in the house as they approached he smiled softly as it reminded him of the home he had lived in before his mother had given him up*

We will never pay any of you back for the kindness you have shown us. It will be nice not to have to hide anymore.

*He stepped inside sitting the bundle down on a padded seat for a moment so he could take of his layers and boots. Dongwook let go of Jonghyun's hand once they entered the home but stayed close just incase. Bae turned to his brother as he picked up the bundle again.*

One of the girls does, different color she has jiwon's coloring but the markings are just like I remember. We named her hyorin.

*Bae looked down at the little cubs and pups motioning dongwook over to help him. With his hyung's help he un-bundled the pups and cubs wishing his brother could see them*

there is also one that looks like me no visible hybrid traits at all so far
