Rebellion

*Shrill sounds of an alarm pierced the quiet and still dark room, drawing a groan from under the covers that a figure was so contently wrapped under. The ragged and lumpy blankets moved and protested heavily, sagging in defeat when an arm reached out and silenced the alarm. Sitting up, the half toned haired male yawned and stretched, pouting at the time.*

*He hated waking up this early for his shitty job in this crummy city barely making enough to live without having to look for an owner. That was one thing he was never going to do. His ears twitched and he shook his head as he got up from the bed and set to getting ready for work. It was some factory job that employed his kind, with hardly any pay though.*

*Grumbling softly, he pulled his clothes on and shoes on at the door before heading out, ruffling his hair and stroking the fur down on his tail before heading out. He found it hard to find work anywhere else, what with his full breed status and having come from a village of free hybrids of wild animals. People feared they could go feral at any minute, but it was untrue. His kind was treated harsher because of this and had stricter laws in place. He tugged at the collar around his neck, red tag to shoe his status and danger if he went feral.*

*When he got to work, he clocked in and pulled on the protective gear for work and started his shift. It was a recycling plant and he worked in the sorting area, sorting out the different types of containers and getting the mess all over him. He had dreams and aspirations, but he never thought he would end up like this, stuck in this life and unable to go back home. His village was assimilated into the city and left abandoned. At least he had friends at work that weren't afraid of him.*

Hey, Hanbin, we still going for drinks?

'Sure, just don't scare off any good looking guys this time.'

*Laughing at his friends words, he shook his head and smiled. The poor bird hybrid got scared after seeing his collar. He should have expected it, Petroica rodinogaster was usually a flighty type of hybrid.*

I promise I won't scare anyone off, but you know bird types are flighty and scare easily.

*Jiwon slept on for a little while, but when he tried to snuggle up to his mate for warmth and lovings, he pouted when he felt empty mattress beside him. With a soft groan, he opened his eyes and looked to see where Bae was, seeing him distracted by his phone. Crawling out of the bed, Jiwon went to Bae and wrapped his arms around him as he sat behind his mate.*

I love you... I have the best daddy who takes such good care of me.

*He said as he nuzzled up to Bae. He knew now wasn't the time to start fooling around, but he just wanted some love and affection. He heard a snort behind him, though, making his ears go back and his tail go rigid.*

"Daddy"? Didn't know you were into that kind of thing. I did peg you to be the kinky type, though.

*Hanbin said with a soft laugh as he too woke up from his sleep. It was mid afternoon now, so he was feeling rested and full of energy. He looked to Jiwon who was looking at him with a flare mixed with a pout, if that was even possible. Apparently it was with Jiwon and only served to make him look even more adorable. He chuckled as the other turned back to his mate.*

Hey, I'm not trying to be mean, to each their own. It just threw me off, so I couldn't help but poke some fun.

Sure, ass. You're forgive, though. Bae takes damn good care of me and I do enjoy calling him daddy when I want attention.

*Bae closed his eyes with a groan that one little word going straight to his cock. After calming himself down he opened his eyes again putting down the phone.*

I love you too baby boy. Why don't you sit right here on daddy's lap and eat something before we go.

*He smiled softly letting the two friends bicker it was pretty cute. He had just stopped at this safe house needing sleep himself.*

The next town over we will stop and get you those suckers you asked for.

*Jiwon climbed into the elders lap and grabbed a sandwich from the basket. He started eating contently as he snuggled up to Bae, loving the attention and care he was receiving. Hanbin thought it was adorable, so he kept quiet about it. After having to be alone for so long, Jiwon needed this kind of attention and care. He was happy someone was giving his dearest friend what he deserved.*

Thank you. It hasn't been too bad lately, but I know the further along I go, the worse it gets.

*He handed Bae the panphlets he has been reading, showing the gestation period. It was between 90 and 105 days. It had been just a few weeks that he had been pregnant, but her knew he would start to show soon.*

Hopefully we will get where we are going before the end of this. If not, well... I'm sure we can fashion some kind of carrier for them to carry them.

*He moved to nuzzle up to Bae as he finished his food. That was his main concern, making it to their new home before he gives birth.*

*Bae wrapped his arms around his mate placing a sweet kiss on his cheek. He bit his lip as he looked at the pamphlets he knew they would be cutting it close.*

I'm sure we will be there before they come my love. Everything will be fine.

*He placed another kiss on jiwon's cheek. He didn't want it to be like he was ignoring his mates friend so he looked up at Hanbin*

How are you feeling Hanbin-ah. We need to get moving soon after the next safe house we will be on foot.

*Jiwon trusted Bae and smiled as he nodded. He finished off his sandwich and got a drink of water. Hanbin hummed in thought as he sorted through his bag. He made sure to bring things for when they had to travel on foot.*

I'm good, and prepared. We meeting up and traveling with anyone when we go on foot? Or is it going to stay the three of us?

At some point we should meet more people traveling... right? Unless they have a good head start on us.

*Jiwon inquired as he looked up to Bae curiously, leaning against the elders chest. He knew there was a lot to go, but he was built for long distance travel and could adapt to colder weather over time. He was resilient and his parents were looking over him along with Bae's mother.*

We are supposed to meet up with a group once we are closer but I don't know if we will.

*He was worried if they met up with the group something would happen. Pushing all the bad thoughts away he placed a soft kiss on jiwon's lips. He was just going to trust his instincts in guiding them to freedom. He wrapped his arms around the boy tighter as he stood up holding jiwon in his arms.*

Any last minute bathroom breaks before we leave? I don't plan on stopping until we need gas

Yeah, I should go use the bathroom now. I'll be right back, love.

*Jiwon said with a smile as he pressed a kiss to Bae's lips gently. He carefully climbed out of Bae's arms reluctantly and went to the bathroom which was just past a door in the room. Hanbin was packing up their things before he turned to Bae and smiled softly.*

Vulpes lagopus... Don't think I told you what I was. I'm not the ordinary arctic fox either... I'm one of those arctic marbled foxes that they breed purely for their pelts. The hybrids like myself are often sought after as a fancy pet, but I didn't let myself go into that life, and I'm glad I didn't. Wouldn't have met Jiwon or you if I did. I just wanted to say thanks... for everything, really.

*Hanbin explained to Bae, he trusted this man, even though he could see all that the elder was doing for their escape, he trusted him. His bushy tail swayed slightly as he turned back to their things and kept packing.*

I know we won't meet anyone on the way, but I prefer that actually. It'll be safer for you and Jiwon that way, and that's all that matters to me.

*He nodded at Hanbin moving to help him pack up after slipping the phone in his pocket.*

I don't know what all Jiwon told you about me, but I'm a Canis lupus. You honestly don't have to thank me, I help people because of the chance my mom gave me when I was a pup.

*He chuckled softly as he picked up the bottle Jiwon had been drinking from and finished it off before throwing it into a trashcan.*

You're very perceptive, I don't want to lie to him but I don't want to worry him either. I promised him I'd keep you both safe and I plan on keeping my word.

I do have a lot to thank you for. You took Jiwon as a mate and gave him anything he could have ever wanted and needed. Took care of him in so many ways that I couldn't. He needed someone like that, I could see the lonlyness following him around and clinging to him like a second skin. He's been better now since he's been with you, and I'm glad I could help him with that in some way by getting you two to talk.

*Jiwon said from behind Hanbin with a smirk on his face, but he was happy to hear his friend had helped him so much and cares so much. He knew Hanbin would find a good mate. Hanbin laughed and pulled Jiwon in to a hug before he smiled to his friend.*

Oh no, my cover is blown. I'm just glad you called me and told me what was going on. It's a long trip, but we can make it. We're an odd pack, but we're family now.

Yeah... family...

*Jiwon smiled and went over to his friend and hugged him before he moved to Bae and leaned up to press a kiss to his lips gently.*

Well, let's get this family moving. We have a big trip ahead of us still.

*Jiwon helped finish up their packing before taking their things out to the car. They all made sure to use the bathroom before they left. Jiwon bowed to the woman that met them when they came in and thanked her for the help before he went to the car with Hanbin.*

*Bae smiled at the friends his mind going from the task at hand for the moment. Knowing it was time to go he grabbed the basket of food before letting them out. He paused after jiwon had thanked the kind sister taking her hand in his placing a soft kiss before quickly catching up with his mate. Once they were all settled he started the car and headed for their next stop.

As the miles passed around them he tapped his fingers on the wheel his mind working out the safest place for them to spend the night. As the gas tank in the car neared empty they approached a small town. The licked his lips ignoring the knot growing in his stomach as they approached the dingy looking gas station.*

Stay in the car with the doors locked I'll get what we need and come back out. I don't like the feel of this place.

*Bae said as he pulled up to a gas pump and got out keeping his head down as he got some gas. After hanging up the nozzle he went into the store to get the suckers jiwon had asked for.*

*When they came into town, it was obvious that hybrids weren't welcome there. Jiwon and Hanbin stayed in the car, the doors locked right and the windows all rolled up. Jiwon pulled his hoodie over his head and sank down into his seat more as Hanbin pulled a ball cap over his flattened ears before ducking lower as well.*

*Jiwon nibbled on his lower lip, not liking the feeling of this town one bit either. He knew it wasn't safe here. People were staring at them and made disgruntled faces as they passed. It was close to being night, so thankfully not many people had been around.*

*Jiwon leaned over the middle of the consol in the car, looking out the drivers window to watch Bae inside as he placed things on the counter and went to pay for the gas and lollipops. He hoped the elder grabbed enough, he didn't want to have to make another stop in a town like this again.*

*Bae glanced towards the car as he paid making sure his mate and friend where okay. When it was done he grabbed the bag and ant back outside unlocking the car with his keys before quickly getting in. He relocked the doors before sitting the bag on jiwon's lap.*

Are you okay?

*he asked both of them as he pulled out trying to get out of the town as quickly as he could. He kept his eyes peeled relaxing only as they pulled back out of twin.*

*Hanbin pulled the cap off and sat up in his seat as Jiwon did the same, pulling his hood off as he held the bag close. He nodded to his lover and sat the bag in the back seat beside Hanbin.*

Yeah, we're good. I just don't want to have to go back there. We going to travel till we get to the next rest area?

*He asked as he settled in his seat more with a soft yawn. Jiwon leaned over slightly to give Bae a kiss as he buckled up into his seat. He was thankful that there weren't any other problems that happened in that town.*

We won't we will never be in this area again.

*Bae nodded keeping his eyes on the road as he continued to drive.*

Yes, although I haven't decided if we are going to use the next safe house or sleep under the stars.

*bae had a bad feeling in his stomach things had been going to well so far on their trip. He glanced in the mirror keeping his face neutral as he made a quick turn before stepping harder on the gas pedal.*

I haven't slept under the stars in a long time. I managed to pack and bring my tent in case we needed it.

*Hanbin offered, feeling uneasy and as if they were being followed. Jiwon shared the sentiments with a soft him as he looked out the passenger side rear view mirror.*

Is there someone following us? It just feels so... strange.

*He said softly as he looked over to Bae, his ears pressing back in unease as his tail flicked in his lap. Things felt very off and he knew to trust his instincts and Bae's as well. It had gotten them this far safely.*

[O: is Se7en going to be a hybrid or a human? I couldn't remember what you said he could be. Is he with the resistance too?]

[Was se7en the one we agreed on to be bae's brother? I honestly can't remember either :x]

I can't see anyone but something feels wrong.

*Bae licked his lips his eyes darting to the mirrors to check as he made a few more quick turns. He pulled quickly into a covered wooded area and turned off the car. He pulled his phone out of his pocket checking the map to where they were going to make sure he hadn't gotten them lost.*

Let's get our things and continue on foot. I'm sure we can find a place close by to camp for the night.

*bae got out and walked around taking their bags out of the trunk. He was still on edge but he couldn't sense any danger.*

[Jonghyun from Shinee was gonna be his brother, I don't think we had a clear idea for Se7en lol. I was gonna let you decide what you wanted to do for that since he was your muse. :3]

*Jiwon nodded as he climbed out of the car with Hanbin. The fox grabbed the basket of food before going to the trunk to grab his pack. Jiwon hoisted his own onto his back before he went back to the front seat and grabbed his plush and the lollipops Bae bought for him.*

Is there another town to stop at to get warmer clothes before we break contact with humans?

*He asked as he went over to Bae, reaching out to hold his mates hand and Hanbin moved to stand beside him and placed his hand on his shoulder comfortingly. It made Jiwon feel safe and protected to be with them, even though he knew he could hold his own. He was still with children which made him more vulnerable.*

If there isn't, I made sure to pack plenty of extra, so you can use some of my clothes.

*Jiwon smiled softly and thanked his younger friend as he adjusted his pack. He helped Bae with the items in the trunk. They were packed ready but also light so as not to slow them down. Hanbin pulled his own pack on and looked around, feeling just as uneasy as Bae. They all seemed to sense it, but they all didn't want to say anything to prevent any of them from acting different and raise discussion.*

*Bae had grabbed his own before shutting the trunk. He looked around his senses on high alert. He snapped out of his daze when his mate joined him. He took the pack from jiwon intending to carry it for him.*

We will be fine for awhile I packed a lot of extra clothes. Anything we need I'm sure Hyung will have for us before he takes us to our home.

*He adjusted the hat on his head before starting to move leading his love and friend towards the woods. He froze all hairs standing on his neck as he felt someone approaching.*

Fuck, stay behind me.

*Bad hissed before turning around in attack mode as a man approached them. The man let his gaze flick to the two hybrids before he busted out in laughter at Bae.*

Down boy!

*Bae rolled his eyes calming down a bit.*

You know not to sneak up on me Hyung, we weren't supposed to meet up yet.

I know, but I also know you. You were going to try to take these two all the way yourself with no help.

Of course I was, i want to be settled before the babies come.

*He rolled his eyes again at his friend as he put an arm around jiwon.*

*Jiwon pouted when Bae took his pack, feeling like a burden when Bae took so much on himself. He was thankful though. The sounds behind them startled him out of his thoughts as he and Hanbin stayed behind Bae. When it was clear that Bae knew the person and it was safe, he relaxed and smiled slightly.*

Hello... Kim Jiwon, it's nice to meet a friend of Bae's.

*He said with a slight bow as Hanbin did the same and greeted the elder. Jiwon snuggled into Bae's side and pressed a soft kiss to his mates cheek, seeking attention to help the elder calm more.*

How far are we from the village? I know it's a long way, but we should try and keep moving as much and as long as we can. I know when I get further along, it will be harder for me to travel for long distances uninterrupted.

*Jiwon mentioned as Hanbin took the basket of food to carry, lessening the load Jiwon would carry more. Jiwon didn't notice the movement as he kept his attention on the elder two.*

[Hanbin is just a side character, I'm gonna stop using him when they get to the village and he goes off on his own there to let them live with their family and such.]

[Since he's just a random character let's say human. I figured with Hanbin, se7en is gonna go when they reach the village.]

*Bae calmed down more as jiwon snuggled into him a soft smile forming on his lips as he rubbed his mates back softly.*

Unfortunately we are still very far from it, but I will help you guys get there as fast as I can.

We should get going and find a campsite for the night, since someone scared all of us by being a creep instead of calling.

*bae teased the elder as he started to lead the way into the woods again. He had been scared after dealing with the humans in town but he was thankful his friend found them.*

[Well, se7en was gonna end up as Jonghyun's mate later on, my Jonghyun was gonna come into play just as they get to the village and was Bae's younger brother. I like that he's human tho. :3 it does give a bit of drama since only trusted humans are allowed in the village and all lol.]

*Jiwon chuckled softly and started to follow the elders, Hanbin walking close to his side. He had been on edge since that town, but he felt so much better now that they were away from there and safe. He was starting to get a little tired, but he walked on, knowing there was a camp site coming up soon they could test at.*

So Dongwook-hyung, how long have you know Bae?

*Jiwon asked as they paused, taking the time to grab a snack from the picnic basket and munching on it. Hanbin stole a few bites as his friend ate before they continued walking. Once Jiwon finished his food, he put the trash in a bag to dispose of properly when they got to the camp.*

Thanks to Hanbin, Bae and I met in a bar where he worked after I got off work. We got to talking, and one thing led to another before I moved in with him and we became mates.

*Even though the story didn't sound very romantic, it was just fine for him, he was happy now and that was the day he started his new life. It meant a lot to him, so he didn't care if it wasn't as romantic as some people would boast about. For him and how his and Bae's lives were before, it was perfect to him. He flushed softly as he scratched the back of his head with a shy smile.*

Ah, sorry... I'm rambling. I'm just nervous and a little tired.

[Sorry works been killing me lately I had to pull a few doubles because of idiots calling in with stupid excuses. That's where I got confused with the jonghyuns lol. I won't drop se7en out then]

*The elders shared a look dongwook smiling at the younger hybrid's rambling it was cute.*

I've known Bae since he was young, we were in the same orphanage.

Dongwook-Hyung helped all of us young ones survive, he would sneak us extra food. With me was the only one who wasn't scared of me, he and his brother helped me when I reached maturity.

*Bae trailed back putting an arm around jiwon as they approached the site. He closed his eyes for a moment breathing in deep before opening them up again.*

It's safe no one has been here for awhile.

*Bae put the bags he was carrying down before moving to help Dongwoo put up the tent.*

dongwookie is the only other person in my past that knows what I am. He's human but he's on our side.

*Jiwon smiled as he listened to his lover and companion talk. It was nice to know that his mate had been looked after. Hanbin looked around and sniffed the air before he sat his things down and started to run around the area. Jiwon flicked his tail as he watched his friend with a grin.*

*Jiwon started to chase his friend, laughing as Hanbin weaved through trees around the area to dodge him. He tapped his friends shoulder when he caught up before he stopped and looked up at the tall trees. Taking in a deep breath, he started to climb.*

*Hanbin stopped running when his friend tapped his shoulder and looked up to see him climbing. He knew his dear friend had to be feeling free now, happier now that he was in nature again. He heard the soft laugh his friend gave as Jiwon settled on a branch with a grin, looking out over their camp.*

Bae~! It's so nice Here!

*He called to his mate as he swung his legs slightly. Jiwon felt his worries and inabitions leave him as the city was now gone from his life. They were free, not quite safe, but he took this chance they had now to relax and let himself go.*

*Bae smiled softly as the two younger ones ran around playing, he was happy to see them worry free for once.*

I'm glad you found us Hyung.

*He chuckled as Dongwook started to tease him about finally taking a mate. Both of the elders looked up when jiwon called out, Dongwook put a hand on bae's shoulder keeping the slightly younger man from worrying at his mate.*

He won't fall let him have his fun.

*Bae took a deep breath nodding as he moved gathering branches to start a small fire for them so they wouldn't get cold in the night.*

It is I've heard it's nice where we are going as well.

*he answered his mate not letting himself image the other falling.*

*Jiwon grinned and took in a deep breath before he looked down and saw his worried mate. He knew why he was worried, so slowly and very carefully, Jiwon climbed down out of the tree. He went over to Bae and started to gather some smaller twigs and other kindling with his mate.*

I'm glad, the season is still safe so far.

*Leaning over to Bae, he gave him a soft kiss to help keep him from worrying and ease his heart. Hanbin had ran off and managed to catch some rabbits for them to cook and eat as well, saving on some of their supplies.*

It's not much, but it will help.

*He said as he placed them where the fire was going to be before he pulled a knife from his pocket to start skinning the rabbits. He was going to keep the skins and see if they could be traded or made into anything for Jiwon and the new babies.*

I can help hunt small game and collect skins for fur for things to trade or make, so Jiwonnie won't get so cold.

Yah! It's hyung to you!
