Rebellion

 *Shrill sounds of an alarm pierced the quiet and still dark room, drawing a groan from under the covers that a figure was so contently wrapped under. The ragged and lumpy blankets moved and protested heavily, sagging in defeat when an arm reached out and silenced the alarm. Sitting up, the half toned haired male yawned and stretched, pouting at the time.*

*He hated waking up this early for his shitty job in this crummy city barely making enough to live without having to look for an owner. That was one thing he was never going to do. His ears twitched and he shook his head as he got up from the bed and set to getting ready for work. It was some factory job that employed his kind, with hardly any pay though.*

*Grumbling softly, he pulled his clothes on and shoes on at the door before heading out, ruffling his hair and stroking the fur down on his tail before heading out. He found it hard to find work anywhere else, what with his full breed status and having come from a village of free hybrids of wild animals. People feared they could go feral at any minute, but it was untrue. His kind was treated harsher because of this and had stricter laws in place. He tugged at the collar around his neck, red tag to shoe his status and danger if he went feral.*

*When he got to work, he clocked in and pulled on the protective gear for work and started his shift. It was a recycling plant and he worked in the sorting area, sorting out the different types of containers and getting the mess all over him. He had dreams and aspirations, but he never thought he would end up like this, stuck in this life and unable to go back home. His village was assimilated into the city and left abandoned. At least he had friends at work that weren't afraid of him.*

Hey, Hanbin, we still going for drinks?

'Sure, just don't scare off any good looking guys this time.'

*Laughing at his friends words, he shook his head and smiled. The poor bird hybrid got scared after seeing his collar. He should have expected it, Petroica rodinogaster was usually a flighty type of hybrid.*

I promise I won't scare anyone off, but you know bird types are flighty and scare easily.

*Bae took a deep breath looking around the river he was standing in. He took in the beauty around him for a moment before bending down the refill the canteens. Once done he hung them over his shoulder and went about hunting for some more meat for them. Dongwook smiled softly at his friend's mate as he ate his own breakfast.*

I'm sure that won't be a problem, how are you feeling this morning.

*he asked as he let his gaze trail towards the woods watching for any threats and the return of Youngbae.*

*Jiwon smiled as he swallowed his mouth full. He reached down to place a hand on his stomach as the babies seemed to keep calm.*

I'm feeling pretty good, they're all calm and so am I.

*He said as he felt Hanbin place a hand on his stomach as well. The fox laughed softly and grinned at his friend.*

You're really warm right here, too. Maybe you won't be as cold the further up we travel.

*Hanbin knew how much Jiwon didn't quite like the cold, but he would get used to it. His breed were meant to adapt to their surroundings, even if it meant getting used to snow and the cold.*

*Dongwook opened his mouth to say something closing it again when he saw Bae brake through the trees heading towards them some Rabbits in his hands. Dongwook excused himself and went over taking everything from Bae telling him to go eat before they left. Bae just nodded and went over sitting next to his mate after getting his portion of breakfast.*

Morning love

*he kissed jiwon's cheek before he started to eat quickly starving after his little hunt. After a few bites he slowed down before looking at his mate l deciding to tell him what he had discovered.*

I talked to the white wolf last night, they are building homes for us...

Morning, baby.

*Jiwon greeted his mate, snuggling up to him as he ate his own food. He was glad that the elder had spoken with the wolf that had been in their dreams guiding them.*

Oh? I'm glad, I know we will need one with the babies on the way.

*He said with a smile before he hooked his arm around Bae's so the elder could still eat while he stayed close to his side.*

Did you find out who he was? He seems very nice.

*Bae swallowed the bite in his mouth nodding as he leaned against his mate. He took a few minutes happiness filling his heart as he finally told his mate.*

It's one of my brothers, Jonghyun. I helped Umma take care of him before she gave me away, he's blind.

*Hearing the words from his friend Dongwook stopped working on skinning and cutting the meat from the animals Bae brought back. He moved his work closer so he could hear better as he narrowed his eyes at Bae.*

I thought your family was dead.

So did I Hyung, when I went back to get umma everyone was long gone so I just figured the hu... Bad humans got them all.

*Dongwook nodded as he tried to figure out how to kindly ask of his friend was sure and it wasn't a trick or trap.*

He seems very nice, hyung. He is always keeping me calm and singing to me when I'm sleeping. His voice is beautiful.

*Jiwon said with a smile as he finished his breakfast and snuggled closer to his lover. Hanbin raised and ear as they spoke and cocked his head to the side with a raised eyebrow and a questioning look.*

Was he pure white with a black lace cloth covering his eyes?

Yeah, has he been visiting you, too?

I've only seen glimpses of him in my dreams, like he's trying to see who I was and if I was a threat.

What about you, hyung?

*Jiwon questioned as he looked to Dongwook, wondering if the elders had seen the wolf in his dreams as well.*

*Bae finished his breakfast as well gently pulling his mate into his lap. He placed a kiss on his cheek as Dongwook nodded.*

A couple of times he doesn't really talk or anything he's looked through my memories.

He was trying to see if you guys are a threat to us or not. He knows you aren't though.

*bae rested his chin on Jiwon's shoulder as he rested a hand on his mates stomach. He knew they had to leave soon but he still wanted to cuddle a bit.*

When we arrive I'll talk to the elders about Dongwook staying with us

[Gonna skip some time now to when dey get dere. :3]

*Jiwon smiled as he sat happily in Bae's lap. When they eventually started their travels again, they made good time. They still had to make a few stops for Jiwon, but it wasn't a burden and didn't hold them up too badly.*

*They traveled for a few days, getting closer and closer. Jiwon noticed a change in his body, the babies had shifted a little lower and he was feeling rather sore and lethargic even more.*

*Hanbin stayed by his side and they had to take more breaks than before with his swollen and sore feet. Things had gotten colder and they swaddled him up in heavy clothed and coats before continuing on.*

*It was the last day of their travels and they were getting closer when Jiwon started to feel pains in his abdomen and in his lower regions. He gave a pained sound and felt his legs go weak as he felt a presence in his mind, checking on him. It was the wolf, he could tell, but the pain was so much that he couldn't concentrate on anything.*

Fuck... Bae...

*He whined out as he felt the pain start to slowly leave him. Hanbin was already crouched at his side when he managed to open his eyes to look at them.*

*As days past in their travels Bae's anxiety rose hoping and praying the Cubs would hold out until they reached the safety of their new home. He cuddled and helped his mate as much as he could while they were on their way. Even sharing the path they were taking with Dongwook so the elder could lead and Bae could keep an eye on his mate from behind.

He knew they were so close when he heard the pained cry from his mate. He quickly closed the short distance between them and knealt down on his mates otherside. Dongwook had stopped as well and came over to check on them. Bae's instincts kicked into gear causing him to scoop Jiwon into his arms.*

Dongwookie, will you guide Hanbin the rest of the way? I need to take Jiwon.

*not stopping for a answer from the others he took off running towards the village his mate gently but firmly held on his arms.*

Hang in there baby. I'm going to get you to the healer.

*he cooed before sending a mental message to his brother to have the healer ready if possible.*

*Jonghyun was waiting with the healers at his side when the others found them. He stayed where he was while the healers went off with Hanbin to find Jiwon and Bae. He was afraid of this happening, but he was glad they were so close to the village.*

*Jiwon clung to Bae with a soft whimper as he looked to his lover. He was scared, he knew they were close, but it was so painful and he was suddenly hit with the realisation that he didn't know a thing about taking care of babies, be it pups or cubs.*

Bae... I'm scared...

*He wasn't one to ever admit he was afraid of something, so he was sure Bae would know just how terrified he was. He looked up and saw Hanbin with the healers, each of them looking over him gently as they checked his clothes. They weren't wet, so they didn't have to worry about the cold yet.*

*After a while later, his pains started up again, causing him to cry out again. They were at the top of the hill where Jonghyun was waiting, but he couldn't see the wolf through the pain.*

I'm sorry I can't sooth him, but once he is in the medical hut, they can give him something for the pain.

*Jonghyun spoke as they walked down the path into the village. It was covered in snow, but people were peeling out of their houses to see the newcomers. They knew something was wrong and to not approach them, the healers went ahead of them and started to prepare the sterile room for the birth.*

*Bae looked down at his little feline placing a soft kiss on his lips.*

I'm scared to but we've got eachother we will raise amazing pups or Cubs.

*Bae kept his mate held tightly eyeing the healers when they gave the okay he took off carrying his mate to the hut. He nodded at his brothers words.*

I don't fault you brother you have kept him calm during our long journey.

*Bae couldn't help himself sending a few nasty glares at those gocking at his mate. He carried Jiwon into the but before letting the healers take over.*

I want to help!

Calm, hyung. They just want to see who the new people joining their community are. I told them about your mate being close to birth, so they are worried for him.

*Jonghyun said as he held onto Hanbin's arm. The fox helped lead the blind wolf into the hut and helped him sit in a chair out of the way while Jiwon was placed on the table.*

*Jiwon gave a soft growl of discomfort and looked for Bae, reaching his hand out to his lover to hold. The pains he had seemed to come more frequently, shorter moments of relief between the bursts of pain.*

Bae...

*The healers were working around the room as one helped Jiwon out of his clothing before placing a blanket over his torso and a paper sheet covering it to keep anything from making the blanket a mess. The head healer, a well practiced hybrid doctor, examined the boys body. His water broke soon after his clothes were removed, which was a bit of a relief, but he didn't have time to think about it as the doctor checked his body.*

The birth canal has formed and your contractions are coming closer. Your mate can either hold your hand for comfort or he can help with the birthing. The nurses will take the babies and weigh them and clean them up when they are born.

*The doctor elaborated as he looked to the mates as he pulled his gloves off to wash up and put on new ones along with his scrubs.*

*Bae had moved over to the table holding jiwon's hand using his other to gently caress his face trying to help him.*

I'm right here my sweet love. You're doing so good baby boy.

*he bit his lip looking down at the healers he did want to help with the birthing. He looked back at Jiwon smiling softly as Dongwook sat down beside the blind wolf worried for his friends.*

I think it would be best if I held his hand and offered any comfort I can during this time.

*The birthing took time and the drugs they gave him on lessened the pain slightly. Jiwon was crying by the time the pups and cubs were being born. It was painful and tiring, but he was glad Bae was there to hold his hand and comfort him.*

*Jonghyun was worried for them, but he stayed in his seat, moving to place a friendly hand on Dongwook's knee gently. He could feel the worry rolling off the man next to him.*

They're in good hands, the babies and Jiwon will be okay.

*He said as the doctor announced the arrival of the first small child born. It was a pup, it was a girl, two perky ears and a wet fluffy tail to indicate it's wolf bloodline. She cried as she was taken and cleaned up as they got ready for the second to be born.*

Squeeze my hand if you need to baby boy. You are so amazing Jiwon I love you and our children so much, so very strong.

*Bae cooed at his mate reaching up with his free hand to wipe away his mate's tears. Dongwook looked over at the blind wolf he couldn't deny he was worried he had grown attatched to his spiritual brother's mate.*

I trust they are or Bae would have them out of here by now. It's kind of amazing I watched him grow and now I'm witnessing his mate bring their children into the world.

*bae looked down as the healer announced the girl's birth seeing her he smiled wide even as he longed to hold her as she cried.*

Ah love she is a very beautiful wolf. You are doing so well.

*Bae told his mate his eyes following the healer who took the girl away to clean her before looking back down at his mate.*

You've taken good care of my brother. For that, I thank you. When all of the commotion is done, I'm sure the elders would wish to speak to you. Bae and I will be there, so don't be worried.

*Jonghyun said with a smile as he kept his ears trained to the couple at the medical table. It was a long process, but all in all, they had three wolf hybrids and two leopard hybrids. One of the boys resembled Bae, having no tail and ears like his father and looked more human than hybrid. The girl leopard had black ears and tail like Jiwon while the boy was normal coloration.*

*Jiwon panted softly, exhausted in so many ways as he held onto Bae's hand gently. They had two wolf girls and a girl leopard and one boy of each, all healthy and hungry for their mothers milk. Once he was cleaned up and dressed warmly, Jiwon held his arms out for their babies, wanting to hold them as he gave soft calling sounds to their bundles of joy.*

Bae, they're so tiny...

I see that you weren't educated much on your own kind. Hybrid children start off small, like our wild cousins. They will grow to the normal size of a human baby in a few weeks as you nurse them before you wean them to the proper foods. We will be here to help you with them and to provide check ups on you and the children.

*The doctor explained as he pulled off his scrubs and gloves before moving to their side with a proud smile.*

Congradulations. Get some rest, the other healers will help you on getting started the nursing.

*Dongwook just sighed he wasn't worried about himself but Jiwon and Youngbae. He knew Bae would take his little family and leave if he couldn't stay with them. He also knew both Jiwon and Bae needed to be among their own kind after spending so many years alone and mistreated by humans.

Bae was tearing up as he watched his children being born a sad smile forming on his face when one came out like him. He wouldn't love the child less but he wished all their children where visible hybrids it was safer that way. He opened his mouth to reply to the small comment nodding as the doctor explained. He had been around newborn hybrids before and knew they were small. He leaned down kissing Jiwon softly again as the healers started to bring out the clean ones ready to help Jiwon start to nurse.*

Babe I'll be back in a bit I need to talk to the elders about Dongwook. I love you so much.

*he smiled at his mate before leaving his side and going over to talk to his two brothers. Not saying anything he leaned down hugging Jonghyun tightly. He hadn't gotten to hug his brother yet.*

While the healers are helping him feed them do you think the elders will see us?

*Jiwon nodded to his lover as he tiredly nursed two of their new babies. Hanbin sat beside him quietly, watching his elder friend in awe as he reached up to stroke the soft clean ears of a nursing pup.*

*Jonghyun wrapped his arms around his brother with a smile, hugging him tight. He was happy for them, but he was also curious about the man beside him. He stood from his seat and took Bae's hand gently.*

They would be glad to. I know they're waiting, even if it's late.

*He said as he led his brother and Dongwook to the hut where the three village elders sat and spoke among each other. Jonghyun stepped inside and left the two outside as he spoke briefly to the elders about their arrival and the birth of the children. When they wanted to speak to them, Jonghyun returned to the two elders and called them in.*

They will talk to you now.

*He said with a soft smile as he took someone's hand to lead them in. It was soft and strong, but he could already tell that it wasn't his brothers hand. This hand was bigger and not quite as warm, but still warm.*

*Bae and Dongwook walked with the blind wolf to the hut. Both men where exhausted but not ready to rest yet. Bae smirked patting the elder on the back when he saw how he was looking at his brother. He would tease him about it later he slowed down a bit as Jonghyun came back out and grabbed dongwook's hand.

He stepped up to his friend's otherside seeing his best friend tense. Bae looked at the three elders with tired eyes.*

Hyung is not like most humans he is kind. Without him my Mate and I would have never made it here.

*he informed the elders he would fight for Dongwook the way the elder had protected and fought for him.*

*Jonghyun gave Dongwook's hand a gentle squeeze as he nodded, the elder had been nothing but kind and helpful to his brother when he was growing up, from what he had seen in his memories.*

I have seen their past myself, Dongwook has been good to our kind, he has even helped some escape here before. He is the one of those that we keep contact with when bringing others here for sanctuary.

*The elders listened to their words, and it was their first time actually meeting directly with the man from the resistance. They talked amongst themselves for a moment, leaving Jonghyun anxious as they made a decision. They were much wiser than he was, they had the ability to see bits of the future, so when he heard a soft laugh from one of them, it made him relax.*

You may stay, and we give you our blessings, you will have a happy future here.

*One of the older men said before they dismissed them with Congradulations to Bae about his new family. When they left the three alone, Jonghyun grinned brightly.*

I'm so glad they let you stay! You all can stay with me tonight, we will get you all settled in your new homes tomorrow. Hyung can stay with Jiwon for the night, I know he wants to badly.

*Bae let out a breath he didn't know he was holding when they said Dongwook could stay. He hugged his human brother before hugging his blood brother tight.*

Once everything settles we are going to catch up Jongie.

*he pecked his brothers cheek before running off to rejoin his mate. He was planning on sending Hanbin to Dongwook and Jonghyun wanting to spend the night with his mate and their newborns alone.*

Your brother helped bring people here as well, you can't give all the credit to me.

*dongwook said as he let his eyes take in the blind hybrid infront of him. There was some kind of fondness already growing for the boy but Dongwook thought he was just because he was so fond of Youngbae. Bae smiled returning to the hut where he left Jiwon going over to his mate.*

How are you feeling baby boy?

*Jonghyun flushed softly and smiled as he moved to hold onto Dongwook's arm after hugging his brother. With Bae returning to his mate, Jonghyun led Dongwook and Hanbin to his small home. It was made just for him, easy for him to navigate and know where things were.*

It's not much, but it's home. I have one guest room, so you two can figure out who sleeps there. I have a big bed of someone wants to share with me, too.

*Jonghyun mentioned as they stepped inside. He slipped off his boots and his heavy coat before removing the blindfold that protected his eyes. His blue grey eyes shined as he smiled to the two as he hung up the black lace before he shows them the way to the room.*

*Jiwon looked up to his mate with a sleepy smile as he nursed the last baby, holding the other two close. He had been moved to a big bed and given warm clothes while he had waited for Bae to return.*

Hey daddy... how did it go? Is hyung allowed to stay?

*Dongwook let the wolf lead him to the home feeling a little tingly where the fingers were touching his arm. Distracted he didn't take his eyes off the hybrid even as he slipped off his own boots and coat. He bit his lip as he looked into the wolf's eyes for a few moments he smiled back even though the wolf couldn't see it before following him back*

Hanbin-ah can have it, I can just sleep on the floor somewhere out of your way. Thank you for allowing us to stay with you for now.

*Bae smiled as he sat down carefully on the bed looking at the children. He was in love already but afraid to actually touch them. He looked up at Jiwon when he was called Daddy a shiver going down his spine*

It went really good, Hyung is allowed to stay here. I think he'll find a mate here as well.

*Bae grinned he had seen the way their friend had checked out his brother and he had to admit he wanted them together if Jonghyun was interested*

*Jonghyun frowned and pulled Dongwook to his room with him as he shook his head. He wasn't about to let the elder sleep on the floor, not in the traditional houses they lived in.*

The floor is too cold. You can share the bed with me. The fire for the furnace is about to go out for the night and it won't be lit again until morning, so stay warm with me.

*He said with a smile as his tail wagged slightly. Hanbin went into the guest room and all but collapsed, snuggling up under the covers without a care as he let himself drift off.*

*Jiwon smiled and reached up with a free hand to tug Bae down to lay in the bed with him. He leaned over and gave his mate a soft kiss before placing a pup on his chest. The pup squirmed around slightly and gave soft pup whines and squeaks as she cuddled up to the warm body.*

I am so relieved that they let him stay here too. If he finds a mate, I hope they love him for who he is and doesn't shun him for being human. They don't seem like the type to shun, though.

*Jiwon said with a yawn as he turned to his side, holding the cub nursing close so it could eat undisturbed. He snuggled up to Bae and closed his eyes tiredly.*

Finally... we are home...

*Dongwook bit his lip letting himself be pulled into the bedroom. He wasn't going to fight it though*

I don't want to impose on you, you have been very kind already to me.

*He returned the kiss bringing an arm up to cuddle the pup to his chest. He placed a kiss on her head as she settled down again on her father.*

I think they will love, Dongwookie is easy to love. I don't know what I would have done if they refused.

*he wrapped his arms carefully around his mate placing another kiss on his cheek*

We are home, our safe home where our babies can grow with no worries. rest love, you have done so well.
