 *Shrill sounds of an alarm pierced the quiet and still dark room, drawing a groan from under the covers that a figure was so contently wrapped under. The ragged and lumpy blankets moved and protested heavily, sagging in defeat when an arm reached out and silenced the alarm. Sitting up, the half toned haired male yawned and stretched, pouting at the time.*

*He hated waking up this early for his shitty job in this crummy city barely making enough to live without having to look for an owner. That was one thing he was never going to do. His ears twitched and he shook his head as he got up from the bed and set to getting ready for work. It was some factory job that employed his kind, with hardly any pay though.*

*Grumbling softly, he pulled his clothes on and shoes on at the door before heading out, ruffling his hair and stroking the fur down on his tail before heading out. He found it hard to find work anywhere else, what with his full breed status and having come from a village of free hybrids of wild animals. People feared they could go feral at any minute, but it was untrue. His kind was treated harsher because of this and had stricter laws in place. He tugged at the collar around his neck, red tag to shoe his status and danger if he went feral.*

*When he got to work, he clocked in and pulled on the protective gear for work and started his shift. It was a recycling plant and he worked in the sorting area, sorting out the different types of containers and getting the mess all over him. He had dreams and aspirations, but he never thought he would end up like this, stuck in this life and unable to go back home. His village was assimilated into the city and left abandoned. At least he had friends at work that weren't afraid of him.*

Hey, Hanbin, we still going for drinks?

'Sure, just don't scare off any good looking guys this time.'

*Laughing at his friends words, he shook his head and smiled. The poor bird hybrid got scared after seeing his collar. He should have expected it, Petroica rodinogaster was usually a flighty type of hybrid.*

I promise I won't scare anyone off, but you know bird types are flighty and scare easily.

*Bae bit his lip slipping jiwon's phone and his own normal phone into the bottom of the bag. He knew they didn't need them but he decided to take them anyway. He knew at least with his phone there were a few pictures of his friends he wanted to keep. He zip the bag putting it over his shoulder before walking out of their room.*

Are you two ready to go?

*he asked grabbing his legs before heading to the fridge grabbing the picnic basket he had filled with food and drinks the night before. He took one last look around before heading for the door holding it open for his mate and new friend.*

*Jiwon nodded and smiled as he took Bae's free hand and Hanbin's as they stepped out of the apartment. He said goodbye to his old life again and held his head high as they left.*

Are they picking us up or will be meet them somewhere?

*He questioned as he looked around for any signs of anything going on. He could here a few people on the street, but it wasn't anything alarming. He hoped nothing would happen that night that would hinder their escape.*

Sounds like things are quiet for now. Let's hope it stays that way.

*Bae didn't answer until they got to the car he placed the picnic basket in the back seat before popping the trunk for the rest of their bags. Hey threw the one he was carrying into the trunk before looking at the younger two.*

We are going to drive for a bit it's safer to meet up outside the city since I'm with you two. We have to make it look like we are just taking a small day triP though.

*he helped them put their bags in before shutting the trunk. He moved around the car opening the backdoor and front door for the Two younger ones before getting into the drivers seat once they where Inside.*

*Jiwon nodded and climbed into the passenger side while Hanbin got into the back. He held onto his plush close and took in a deep breath, letting it out in a sigh
The car started up as he buckled in and looked over to his mate.*

I can't wait to get there. I know it will take a while to get there, but the journey will be exciting. Dangerous, I know, but I'm built to survive.

Unless it's cold, then you whine endlessly.

*Hanbin added with a laugh as Jiwon pouted and shot a flare back at him. He grinned to his friend, earning a reluctant smile back. Jiwon was happy that his friend was with them, too.*

He won't whine about the cold anymore he has a hot mate to keep him warm.

*Bae said with a smirk turning his head to wink to jiwon before turning his attention back to the road. On the outside he was calm but inside he was freaking out hoping they didn't get stopped by police or other hybrids.*

If you two want to get some more sleep feel free we won't be stopping for a few hours or if your hungry there is a variety of food in the basket next to Hanbin.

*he explained glancing in the rearview mirror to check on Hanbin as he drove.*

*Jiwon flushed as he looked up to Bae, wanting to say something, but also not wanting to distract the elder from driving. So instead, Jiwon leaned over and pressed a kiss to Bae's cheek.*

I have the best mate ever.

*Hanbin made a fake gagging sound in the back and got a flare from Jiwon, laughing at his friend. He got a smile in return, though, as Jiwon turned back forward. He wanted to stay awake as the elder drove, hoping to help keep him calm.*

In all seriousness, he really is the best mate for you. Maybe one day I'll find a guy and have something like you two do.

*Jiwon smiled and nodded, he knew one day the younger would find that special someone. Hanbin yawned and leaned against the door with his bag tucked against his head as a pillow and decided sleep was the best option.*

*Bae smiled at the friends antics they were making it feel like a road trip and not like they were running for their loves*

Just find someone who can understand child/young adult trauma.

*he said softly as he reached over taking jiwon's hand as he continued to drive. He drove in silence for awhile not wanting to wake up hanbin.*

How are you feeling loved?

*Jiwon held onto Bae's hand and thought for a moment. He wasn't exactly sure how he felt, his emotions were all jumbled up inside him. He sighed and squeezed the others hand before shrugging.*

I don't know, really. I feel a mix of everything. I brought the panphlets on my pregnancy to see what I should expect and all. At least that will be something to keep my mind off of things.

*He said as he held his plush close. Jiwon was determined to survive, he had a reason to now. He had an amazing mate and babies on the way. He wasn't sure how many, or what they would be, but he would love them regardless of their genus or how they looked.*

I wonder if your siblings will be happy for you, since you have young on the way and all. I feel like us getting out of the city was the best thing to do, especially for our babies.

It's been a crazy 24 hours love. Getting you and our babies to safety is what's keeping me going right now, when we get to the first safe house I might crash but you and Hanbin will be okay I promise you that.

*Bae gave the boy's hand a squeeze as he checked his mirrors to make sure they weren't being followed.*

If there are any left I hope they will be, I know mother is watching over us. I asked her to guide me and keep you and our pups safe.

*Bae didn't really care if he sounded crazy his mind was very spiritual anyway.*

I'll sleep when we get there, too.

*He said with a smile as he listened to what the elder had to say about his mother. Jiwon nodded, he felt that he had gotten this far in life because his parents were protecting him.*

I feel like the reason why you and I met were because my parents wanted me kept safe and were looking after me... like they knew I would be safe with you.

*He said as he held on to Bae's hand and leaned over to kiss him quickly. Snuggling into his seat, he pulled one of the panphlets out of his pocket and started to read it. His eyes were excellent at night so he had no trouble reading it.*

*Bae smiled at his mate relaxing in his seat as they left the town behind. An hour and a half later he yawned as he pulled up next to what appeared to be an abandoned house. He parked the car out of sight making sure it was hidden.*

This is the first safe house we can eat and rest inside.

*he said as he yawned again stretching as he got out of the car looking around to make sure everything is still safe.*

*Jiwon climbed out of the car as Hanbin yawned and stretched. He climbed out of the back and grabbed the basket of food before he followed them inside.*

So, do we need to keep watch, or are there people here that are part of the resistance?

*Hanbin asked quietly as they started to the house. Jiwon wasn't sure, but he had a feeling Hanbin slept in the car so he could be look out for them while he and Bae slept. Reaching out to Bae's hand, he held onto it as they stepped inside.*

Sleep sounds better to me, I can eat on the go in the car.

*Bae didn't answer just gave jiwon's hand a squeeze as he led them inside. He didn't flinch a bit as a woman stepped out and pointed a gun at them. He gestured to the other two to stay quiet as he took a step towards her.*

There is no need for that kind sister we are but three travelers seeking the light.

*She smiled at them as she lowered the gun gesturing for them to follow her.*

Those who seek the light are always welcome good brother. May you and your friends rest well in these old walls of mystery.

*She paused and hit a hidden switch on the wall opening up a secret room that was well furnished and comfortable.*

*bae smiled at her before stepping in letting go of jiwon's hand as he slipped off his shoes before heading for the bed. He wondered how long it would take the boys to ask about the wired greeting as the door shut closed behind them once Hanbin and jiwon were inside.*

*Jiwon was confused, but kept his mouth shut ad they were led inside. Hanbin seemed pretty confused as well, and when they got inside and slipped their shoes off, he voiced his confusion.*

Kay, so... what was all of that?

Yeah, it was a little odd, but I figure it's some kind of code thing.

*Jiwon said as he moved to settle on a soft surface big enough for him and Bae as he held the plush close. He wondered how much Bae actually knew about the resistance and how much he was willing to tell him.*

Let's rest, love. Is it safe for us to take our collars off yet?

Yeah it's code, it's a way of telling her that we are hybrids seeking freedom without actually saying it.

*Bae let out a groan as he laid down on the nice soft bed he knew a lot but he wasn't willing to tell them too much it wasn't safe.*

*he turned his head to jiwon nodding as he fought to keep his eyes open.*

Yes love you may take them off there is a slot in the wall where you can stick them. Our kind sister will destroy them for us.

*Jiwon took his collar off and passed it to Hanbin who took his own off. The younger placed the collars in the slots Bae pointed out to them before he settled on looking through the picnic basket for a small meal.*

It's all really impressive. I wish I could help out somehow. I hate that I can't help anyone right now, I feel like I'm just a hindrance, so let me help where I can.

*Hanbin requested as he started to eat. Jiwon smiled as he wrapped his arms around Bae. His friend had a good heart and knew he was trustworthy. Pressing a kiss to Bae's head, he started to stroke his hair gently.*

You have helped a lot, you've helped me and if they let you, maybe they will let you help here. For now, let's rest up before we continue on our way.

Your not a hindrance Hanbin, you are already helping with your banter with jiwon. This is not the first time I've helped get people out it is easier if you have a friend you can joke about and forget the danger for a moment.

*he snuggled against his mate as he spoke his words getting softer as he fell asleep after wrapping his arms around jiwon. He knew they were safe for now but he would have to becareful as they continued he didn't want the resistance to think the path had been figured out by a human.*

*Hanbin was silent for a moment before he nodded and smiled to them. It felt better knowing he was there helping keep the elders calm. He continued eating silently as Jiwon smiled to his friend in thanks.*

*With a yawn, Jiwon closed his own eyed and snuggled up to Bae, purring softly as his tail wrapped around them and his ears rested easy as he listened to his mates even breathing. He drifted off to an easy sleep, feeling Hanbin joining them on his other side after a few moments. He was thankful to have these two in his life and thanked his parents for watching over him and getting him this far.*

*After a few hours Bae woke up again he turned his head smiling at the younger to. He was glad he was taking them to safety and hoped Hanbin would find someone of his own. Being careful not to wake them up he slipped out of the bed and walked over to the food basket.

He grabbed a sandwich before sitting down pulling out his special phone scrolling through messages as he ate.*

*Jiwon slept on for a little while, but when he tried to snuggle up to his mate for warmth and lovings, he pouted when he felt empty mattress beside him. With a soft groan, he opened his eyes and looked to see where Bae was, seeing him distracted by his phone. Crawling out of the bed, Jiwon went to Bae and wrapped his arms around him as he sat behind his mate.*

I love you... I have the best daddy who takes such good care of me.

*He said as he nuzzled up to Bae. He knew now wasn't the time to start fooling around, but he just wanted some love and affection. He heard a snort behind him, though, making his ears go back and his tail go rigid.*

"Daddy"? Didn't know you were into that kind of thing. I did peg you to be the kinky type, though.

*Hanbin said with a soft laugh as he too woke up from his sleep. It was mid afternoon now, so he was feeling rested and full of energy. He looked to Jiwon who was looking at him with a flare mixed with a pout, if that was even possible. Apparently it was with Jiwon and only served to make him look even more adorable. He chuckled as the other turned back to his mate.*

Hey, I'm not trying to be mean, to each their own. It just threw me off, so I couldn't help but poke some fun.

Sure, ass. You're forgive, though. Bae takes damn good care of me and I do enjoy calling him daddy when I want attention.

*Bae closed his eyes with a groan that one little word going straight to his cock. After calming himself down he opened his eyes again putting down the phone.*

I love you too baby boy. Why don't you sit right here on daddy's lap and eat something before we go.

*He smiled softly letting the two friends bicker it was pretty cute. He had just stopped at this safe house needing sleep himself.*

The next town over we will stop and get you those suckers you asked for.

*Jiwon climbed into the elders lap and grabbed a sandwich from the basket. He started eating contently as he snuggled up to Bae, loving the attention and care he was receiving. Hanbin thought it was adorable, so he kept quiet about it. After having to be alone for so long, Jiwon needed this kind of attention and care. He was happy someone was giving his dearest friend what he deserved.*

Thank you. It hasn't been too bad lately, but I know the further along I go, the worse it gets.

*He handed Bae the panphlets he has been reading, showing the gestation period. It was between 90 and 105 days. It had been just a few weeks that he had been pregnant, but her knew he would start to show soon.*

Hopefully we will get where we are going before the end of this. If not, well... I'm sure we can fashion some kind of carrier for them to carry them.

*He moved to nuzzle up to Bae as he finished his food. That was his main concern, making it to their new home before he gives birth.*

*Bae wrapped his arms around his mate placing a sweet kiss on his cheek. He bit his lip as he looked at the pamphlets he knew they would be cutting it close.*

I'm sure we will be there before they come my love. Everything will be fine.

*He placed another kiss on jiwon's cheek. He didn't want it to be like he was ignoring his mates friend so he looked up at Hanbin*

How are you feeling Hanbin-ah. We need to get moving soon after the next safe house we will be on foot.

*Jiwon trusted Bae and smiled as he nodded. He finished off his sandwich and got a drink of water. Hanbin hummed in thought as he sorted through his bag. He made sure to bring things for when they had to travel on foot.*

I'm good, and prepared. We meeting up and traveling with anyone when we go on foot? Or is it going to stay the three of us?

At some point we should meet more people traveling... right? Unless they have a good head start on us.

*Jiwon inquired as he looked up to Bae curiously, leaning against the elders chest. He knew there was a lot to go, but he was built for long distance travel and could adapt to colder weather over time. He was resilient and his parents were looking over him along with Bae's mother.*

We are supposed to meet up with a group once we are closer but I don't know if we will.

*He was worried if they met up with the group something would happen. Pushing all the bad thoughts away he placed a soft kiss on jiwon's lips. He was just going to trust his instincts in guiding them to freedom. He wrapped his arms around the boy tighter as he stood up holding jiwon in his arms.*

Any last minute bathroom breaks before we leave? I don't plan on stopping until we need gas
